Purple Listerine will KILL YOU

So the other day I saw a commercial for some new purple Listerine, and being the good little consumer that I am, I went out and bought some of that purple Listerine yesterday. I tried it last night when I got done brushing my teeth (as per the instructions).

I decided to fill the cap to the top and swish it "vigorously" for a full minute (while bouncing around and feeling like my mouth was being torn asunder by some sort of horrible acid).. and the rest of the night I had some kind of like, skin-crap coming off the sides of my cheeks (I guess).

My mouth no longer feels the same and things now taste funny.

It's like that shit took off the top layer of skin of every part of my mouth that has skin and now my taste buds are trying to figure out what the hell is going on here.

Let this be a warning that unless it's a grape drink of some kind, putting purple liquid in your mouth is not a good idea.

lol, wtf?! Is the purple stuff more volatile than the blue-green stuff that I use?

What I hate most about Listerine is the smell that sticks with you for a little bit. Maybe I need to start brushing my teeth, swish the listerine, then brush my damn teeth again.

Or maybe another flavor of Listerine will do better

I recently got my tongue pierced and have been downing that stuff like it's oxygen. I am all good with it.

I can never keep it in my mouth for as long as they say. I thought I was just a pussy.

i've been having to rinse with some prescription crap lately cause i had an infection in my tooth. it sucks because you can't eat or drink ANYTHING for 2 hours afterwards, just let the gross taste permeate your mouth..

Nah, you need the alcohol from Listerine type mouthwashes.

If you use the Listerine twice a day and brush at least twice a day the "pain" goes away. It reacts to the bacteria and crap in your mouth. The more you use it and the cleaner your mouth is the less it bothers you.

There was a couple my wife and I used to hang with. He was a salesman in the company I work at and she was admin there. They were fun, but he was a tad bit odd. We hung with them for a few years off and on. All the sudden she starts telling us about how he is getting drunk every night and pissing the bed because he's passed out. We had drank together plenty of times but I had never seen him get "drunk". She ended up leaving him and told us he had started to drink Listerine.

Well, one day he calls me about a computer problem. I tell him I'll be over the next day to help him out. I show up at the time we agreed to and he doesn't answer the door. I look in the window and he is sleeping on the chair. I try the door and it's open so I walk in. He's passed out in the chair with a gallon sized bottle of Listerine next to him. I have never seen anything like it. I left him a note and left. He never called me and I never heard from him again.

He died of liver failure in his home alone about 6 months after that. He was dead 4-5 days before anyone found him. Sad really. He was about 35.
