In the state of MA, what B2W did was a HUGE HAZARD, just because YOU don't see it doesn't mean it matters...the law is the law and here you are twisting
Again. A person has to commit the crime of breaking and entering for it to have been dangerous.

These weren't kids who's baseball went through the screen and they snuck in to get it back only to accidentally open a bag that was stuffed between a dresser and wall and open it to find a gun.

You give the wrong criminals too much leeway. But that is the nature of the liberal.

"wrong criminals" that's a really interesting conservative viewpoint

Thanks for giving the nice example, boys who would have went looking for a baseball could have found that sack very easily and ended up dead...if that would have happened would you be saying "well the kids got what they deserved"

Again. You blame Ballz, probably because he is a conservative, yet you don't seem to ever fault the real criminals that broke into his house to steak his credit cards and ended up finding his guns.

I'm sure those thieves are just misunderstood or a "victim of society".

Only liberals would consider a locked private home fair game to anyone that wants to enter. It's amazing

You guys are misinterpreting thier position. I don't agree with it, but you are getting it all wrong. They don't think that the criminals are innocent. They don't think that the criminals have a right to break into his home. The would punish the burgler for breaking and entering just as you would. However...
They also recgnize that guns are dangerous in teh wrong hands, and as the owner of a gun you should take extra precautions in the case that someone does break into your house. If you recognize that break ins do happen, you should have your guns secured more so then you would your TV or your DVD player. Why? Because a stolen gun is a risk to society. A DVD player is not. The only reason to own a stolen gun is to commit a crime with it. So you have an additional responsiblity as a gun owner to make sure that your guns don't end up in the hands of a criminal.
You guys get caught up in the whole issue where you connect the two "crimes". No one is blaming ballz for the fact that his house was broken into and no one says that he burgler shoudln't also be punished. But they are saying that you have an additional duty to society if you choose to own a firearm, and that is to take reasonable measures to make sure they don't get stolen.

I don't "blame" B2W for anything, he violated the law and the legal system will deal with him in whatever manner and I have no personal interest in an outcome one way or another

I didn't say it was "fair game" and I'm not giving the criminals any slack, it's simply we know nothing about them, so it's impossible to form any LOGICAL conclusion...for all we know it was Al-Qaeda or maybe it was a couple of teens who didn't know any better...its a total spectrum and we have no idea...so why talk about other people?

It's actually even less than that, I don't neccesarily agree with the law, but I don't agree with the 65 speed limit either

Does that mean when I get a ticket for going speeding (even just going 70), I'm going to come on here and talk about how unfair traffic laws are and how I don't deserve to lose my license or pay a fine or whatever

No, while I believe the speed limit should be higher in many areas, I shut up and pay the fine, I broke the law I know my place

An officer will be subpoenaed to testify in court, and he will say "The defendant admitted to me that the guns were not locked, that the only barrier was a locked front door"

That will be the ONLY fact that the judge (probably) or jury (unlikely) will consider

That assumes this actually goes forward

Ballz told the officers they weren't. When he went through the registration process there was no law saying you had to lock your guns inside your locked house. The law changed and Ballz didn't know.

Supposedly he hadn't looked at any changes in gun laws, or purchased/traded any guns in over a decade...again, supposedly

But it is your duty to answer to all bureaucratic Nazis as long as they work hard at disarming the citizen rebels who think they have Rights the State has not granted to them.

A Bit.

But it is the Speakeasy and I like posting pictures. I was thinking not so much about the police in this case as those who seem to support this action.

Yea I know but really the only way a case could be proven for this is if the owners makes a statement.
