| I don't remember it well enough. Are you sure Harry was not talking about his visions? Last edited by RMNIXON; 07-23-2007 at 07:22 PM.. | ||||

Earlier in the movie, Harry learns in one of his imaginations/day dreams that his godfather (and only living family member) is in danger. The only way for him to make sure that his godfather, Sirius, is ok, is to go through the Floo network (the fireplace where witches and wizards can go from one place to another). Harry goes to Prof. Umbridge (the pink lady) office and sticks his head in her fireplace to look for his godfather. However, he is caught in the act. Now Sirius, the godfather, and Snape, the evil-black-clothed man, are both part of an organization called the Order of the Pheonix, which is an organized group of witches and wizards fighting against the Dark Lord, Voldemort. When Harry Potter is in the chair, anxious about helping his godfather who he knows now is in trouble, he realizes he needs to find a way to pass the message on so that someone else can go and help Sirius. What Harry yells out to Snape is "Padfoot is in the place where the thing is..." Padfoot is another name for Sirius, the godfather. Sirius is an animagus, meaning he can change into an animal form, which happens to be a large black dog (Padfoot). The room or place Harry was referring to was the Hall of Mysteries in the Ministry of Magic (the room filled with the globe looking prophecies). In his imagination/day dream, Harry saw Sirius being tortured by Voldemort in the Hall of Mysteries. Snape knows Sirius is Padfoot, and by passing that message along, Snape was able to check in on Sirius for Harry. However, since it sounded like goobledygook, it meant nothing to Umbridge and Snape was able to pretend as if it was nothing. Hope this helps. | ||||
