Good pics, but why are the colors so washed out and faded? I bet you have a Konica Minolta or something!

need some filters for that thing to cut thru the glare and haze

Haze was part of the deal, I also found that pretty odd though. Not sure why it was hazy in the mountains, at one point it almost looked pink in person. It was rather odd, I think it was just the moisture in the air or something
