Well, this bum showed up today at my grandparent's farm, just wandered through the weeds out of nowhere. So far we haven't found any neighbors to claim him, so he's at my house. He looks to be a couple months old and he's already neutered, possibly why he lays around ...

| Check out this black bum laying on my floor *pic*   Well, this bum showed up today at my grandparent's farm, just wandered through the weeds out of nowhere. So far we haven't found any neighbors to claim him, so he's at my house. He looks to be a couple months old and he's already neutered, possibly why he lays around like a bum all the time just like this. He's a good looking little black lab though and I must say I wouldn't be too disappointed if I had to keep him.  Poor guy had between 40 and 50 ticks on him that we picked off today so obviously nobody is taking proper care of him  I'd rather not give him back if he's being neglected... sooo.... Any good name ideas?

| Warning.. labs have boundless energy and need exercise. They are also pretty smart so if you don't give them exercise and spend time with them.. they will occupy themselves however they see fit. Be that chewing up your kitchen floor or tearing apart pillows or going through your laundry  They really are great dogs though. Very loyal, good with families, friendly etc. | ||||

Running around, barking at people, stealing things to get you to chase him, etc. He was a great dog, but they really do need a firm hand. They were bred to be sort of hot wired, ready to go at any time. IF you ever watch any of these shows on TV where the hunting dogs compete... it's insane. The handler will be sitting there with his shot gun and the dog sits by his side. The dog is like a wound up spring, it can barely contain itself. The target is launched, the handler shoots the target and the dog isn't supposed to go until the handler tells him. I swear it takes everything the dog has not to launch at full tilt as soon as the gun goes off. They are just insane bundles of energy.

| My mom put him on a leash for the first time today and he FLIPPED OUT, it was hilarious. He got to the end of the leash then started jumping up and down and yelping like we were beating him or something I need a name for him, I was thinking Malcolm .... yes, like Malcolm X .... yay or nay? | ||||
