I think because the song is talking about every thing that's going on and seeing it as wrong, feeling unable to change it, etc..

Talking about getting spinned information from TV, etc..

Yeah, to look up the Paris Hilton sex video...in all seriousness, more access to information doesn't mean people take advantage of it. There is a lot of political apathy and willful ignorance with our generation. I have a hard time believing we're more savvy than generations prior. Did you ever notice on OT, the fourth largest forum on the entire internet, there was only a small group of people who frequented DIACF? Most young people don't give a shit about politics or the minutia behind the headlines...our generation is nothing special.
