Maggie's first word was "Daddy" which she said in an empty room in the episode "Lisa's First Word" and was voiced by Elizabeth Taylor.

and, if the episode was called "lisa's first word" kinda seems odd that they'd show Maggie's first word. esplain?

I was watching my neighbor's kid last weekend while she ran out to the store. He was watching something on Cartoon Network and in the span of 30 min we must have seen close to 10 commercials for this movie, all the exact same one. SpiderPig can go die.

Has anyone really cared about the Simpsons in the past 5 years? Every other episode seems to be one of those "what if the Simpsons were on the Mayflower" or "let's send 'em to England!" type of shows where it seems like the writers didn't care about creating a new story. Mind you, I've only seen about 5 new episodes each season so I could be missing some good stuff, but I really doubt it. Still, it's better than Family Guy.

meh. i was SUPPOSE to see the movie for free last night. except my friend got into a fight with the stupid T security guard, which made up miss our train into the city so we had to wait 15 minutes for the next one, which made up 15 minutes late to the movie theatre, and even though there was a long line of people who had free passes (me included), the theatre filled up too quick and they turned people away.

if we had gotten there 15 minutes earlier, we would have gotten in. they started turning people away about 20 people ahead of us.

but we did get to sneak into see "i now pronounce you chuck and larry" for free.... funny movie.

I'm seeing it tomorrow night at the drive in, baby!

Yeah, The Simpsons TV show is a good 10 years past its prime, but I'm hoping that for the movie they pull out all the stops and recapture some of the greatness of the early and middle years. If not, the plot of the next movie will probably be "Bart gets an elephant."

South Park is past its peak too, but they still can come up with great shows too. And Family Guy rocks! It took me a while to appreciate, but it has some excellent jokes and obscure references that really get me.

"How old are you?"
"Sixteen."
"Eighteen? You're first!"
"MOM!"
"Heh! I like where this is going!"

The whole episode is framed around flashbacks to Lisa as a baby (and Bart too a little bit). Making a big deal out of their first words and such... then they all leave Maggie alone in a room, she pulls out her pacifier, and says "Daddy."

I spent $50 yesterday to see the Simpsons my boys and my niece. That was for tickets, the barrel of popcorn, large Diet Coke and 3 Icee's. We brought candy from home.

Amazing how much it costs to go to the movies.

I haven't watched the Simpson's in years and I thought the movie was great. The kids loved it as well, even though I had to cringe a few times as there is some adult content in there.

With any luck the adult stuff went right passed them. But glad they liked it.

I paid $9.00 for a medium popcorn and coke when I went to see Harry Potter!

I will give away my hot tip for those 21 and over without the kids. You buy two or three of those little bottles of booze at the liquer store. They fit in pockets or any small bag.

Then you buy a medium soda. If you are feeling bold you can add your special ingredient right in the theater. But I like to take a quick trip to the mens room stall to make my Special Movie Potion.

Now you got a good sized mixed drink. Not very strong, but a nice little buzz for you motion picture enjoyment!

Also at the Concert Parking Lot:

A bottle of premixed soda and booze looks like you are drinking soda! I have watched the Rent-A-Cops and the real ones take the beer away from the dumb ass kids while I drink the good stuff just feet away!

Like I said, they were about 10 years too late for the movie. They've done every idea already on the show, so there were not a whole lot of fresh jokes. I did kind of like the overall plot, and I got a few chuckles now and then.

My favorite part was when Homer was throwing the finger at everyone as he s-l-o-w-l-y sunk into the sink hole. On the way home my kids asked what my favorite part was but I had to say the hammer in the eyeball.
