| I think it's sad how little time conservatives, neocons and Republicans spend worrying about the quality of Fox News. I mean, they could be spending that time working to ensure that they're getting a fair and accurate and independent perspective on the news, but instead they choose to simply watch it and listen to the Bush Administrations talking points rehashed, and inaccurate, misleading, and overly conservative viewpoints shoved down their ever so eager throats. | ||||

I've never heard a peep about any sort of "war" with them Fact is Talk Radio isn't a huge issue to liberals, its just a back burner idea Fox News is disturbing because it claims to be fair and balanced and is a GOP mouthpiece, and has decided to try and target liberals and get american to hate them... Now, what do you do if someone tries to get everyone to hate you and won't listen to reason? You tell people what assholes they are No one is trying to shut down fox news...calm down

They are a right-wing hate machine, and there is absolutely no comparison to what CNN/MSNBC/the big three do.

| Fox News pollutes the minds of middle class Americans with complete and utter one-sided garbage. My parents are avid Fox News viewers and I can't tell you how many political discussions I've gotten into with them where they literally quote the likes of O'Rly or Hannity verbatim. The viewpoints that Fox News represents are shallow, biased, and are anything but objective. I guess people like being told what to think by a 'patriotic' neocon news network. I refuse to watch the trash the station airs. | ||||

| To play Devils Advocate... we should just start dropping all the random slogans. NYTs: All the news that's fit to print. Yea, all the liberal news... Wall Street Journal: The Daily Diary of the American Dream... people who read the Wall Street Journal were born rich and didn't earn the American Dream. NBC: "Where the news comes first"... no it doesn't. CNN: "The Most Trusted Name in News"... no it's not. By whose standards? Theirs? etc... I could say I have a beef with every news outlet's slogan as it's generally an untrue advertisement of their station.

Their motto is a Full Spectrum of News or something like that. I sometimes wonder what spectrum their working off of. I don't think people should be applying these standards to Fox News if they don't apply it to the others... especially the Soros stations in this instance since it is the Soros organizations doing the attacking.

How anyone could compare Tom Brokaw's "bias" to Brit Hume's bias is...laughable Wolf Blitzer is the main anchor at CNN, what dirt you have on him? Seriously, these stations crush Fox News on credibility so bad, it's not even funny...that people still try to compare the "bias"...its pathetic It's like someone gets hit with a rubber ducky and the other guy stabs him in the heart, and people come along going "oh well they're both vicious attackers"

| I'm not arguing Fox isn't worse in this aspect. But there's a market for this, just like there's a market for this in the liberal news networks. The difference is in liberal media it's spread across them fairly equally, Fox News has a monopoly on the conservative crap. If Fox is going to be attacked, it's disingenuous to not attack the other players. Fox didn't invent the tricks, they learned from the best... | ||||

| I just have to disagree, there's no other television news network that comes close to the bias that Fox has. There is an organizational effort on Fox's part to bring a conservative "twist" (and I'm being kind with that word) to the news. It's just not present on any other network. | ||||

If Fox News was really as bogus as you claim, then certainly consumers wouldn't fall for it...look at Air America for example. What's hilarious is that you expect people, er, politicians/the government to control them. State-controlled media FTMFL.

Fox News is where determined Republican voters go to get their news, while the rest of the country spreads out over ABC, CNN, CBS, NBC There is a reason little known Keith Olberman has beaten BillO in the 24-54 demo mediabistro.com: TVNewser It has nothing to do with Keith getting a lot of viewers, I'm progressive and I don't even watch him, its simple: Fox News gets TONS of viewers that are 60+, infact many 70+ This is not a crowd of all americans, black, white, hispanic, male and female, from all ages, coming to the "real" news...its very old white male republicans If you removed the elderly republicans from Fox News, it shrinks down incredibly, even MSNBC rivals it, and they're doing horrible Even with the beefed up numbers, the other networks overall trounce Fox News again and again, people have known for years if you want right-wing favorable news, you go to fox, yet the audience has stayed the same or dropped off...still the American people overwhelmingly prefer to go to ABC, NBC, CBS and CNN for their news
