My god, I was using email at the time, but if someone ever posted my thoughts when I was JUST TURNED 18...fucking christ...I think a lot of us would feel really stupid reading them now

Nothing really bad is in it...just more "ooo insight into hillary" at the expense of her...jerks

Were you equally offended when everybody criticized G.W. Bush for things he did when he was a kid? Or does this desire to forget the past only apply to candidates you like?

She was still active is extremely far left organizations that would comprise of her earlier memoirs when she was 30.

She did grow up as a Goldwater Republican...he got 38% of the vote in a straight up Democrat-Republican (LBJ got 61%)...in roughly a third...of the most conservative Americans, thats how she was raised and how she was when she was going through much of college

I don't see anything in there to be upset about. She was angsty when she was in college, who isn't? If something was framed like "omg, she knew people who dropped acid in college!!!" then I could see that the media was being retarded about it.

Personally, I don't think the letters tell us anything about her, really. I mean, 37 years is a long time, and she has obviously changed (it'd be silly to think she hasn't). I think the question a lot of people are asking is how much has she changed since she was (apparently) REALLY liberal. Some things she says makes people think she hasn't changed that much since then.

I think this is something as a society we are going to have to decide what matters. Since the Internet became popular candidates will have their entire lives, and the progression available for ammo for the other side. If anything Hillary should seize this story and talk about why she changed etc.

Eventually our society is going to have to realize that our candidates are not perfect and a photo on facebook shouldn't decide elections.
