| Terrible Ron Paul Billboard-- kansas city I saw a massive Ron Paul Billboard driving into kansas city yesterday. First reaction- Wow cool, RP is getting some attention, this is a good sign. Second reaction -- I read the billboard. The only thing it says is: *Eliminate the IRS, it's unconstitutional. You lose, you've now associated your candidate with a couple crazies holding up in their ranches with shotguns. Way to ruin all the legitamitely good messages RP has. | ||||

| hmmm. i don't know. coming from someone who's neither pro or anti RP, it could be a positive thing... its certainly shows he wants to make some radical changes....

| Just to underscore my point, my friend was with me in the car. He's not super involved in politics and he is going to the naval academy. We saw the billboard and he said, "Oh I heard that guy is a good candidate... but that is retarded". | ||||

| He should stick with his message of liberty, freedom, reduced government, and a non-interventionist foreign policy. That is what got him to this point. If elected I am confident he could reduce the role of government, but not any where near where his pipe dream visions. Getting rid of the IRS is simply something he will not be able to do. | ||||

| it might not have been put on a billboard by him... it might have been by some committee supporting him, but not funded by him..... much like the smear campaign ads aren't directly associated with the politician. | ||||

| Does it matter? Do you think the framers of the law really intended virtually everyone to be exempt on a loophole? Do you think if the 16th amendment was somehow stopped applying we wouldn't just pass income tax laws with large majorities? | ||||

doesn't matter, this isn't what Ron Paul is advocating anyway, he just doesn't see the need for the bloated bureaucracy and the ridiculous tax code of the IRS | ||||

| That's the same impression I got, and why I like him, but I think if his people or people who support him spread an extremist agenda, it's just a shame. | ||||
