Chris Dodd is a really impressive candidate, it's a shame, like Joe Biden said, that we have all this talent bunched up into one year...an exceptionally talented female candidate, a brilliant and charismatic black candidate, a very experienced Hispanic candidate, a Democrat who managed to win in the south in the 90s, Joe Biden has a excellent track record, and now Chris Dodd is impressing me

Wow, what a field, I can't imagine being disppointed in any of those candidates win...the primaries don't really get my heart racing because whoever wins is going to be an amazing candidate

To further narrow the scope of this thread: What do you think of Chris Dodd, and his performance?

I think it's the whole like 3+ hour bloc thing

They want Brit Hume and his all star conservative panel thinking they are getting the 100% unbiased news...then they get Shepard Smith with the news...then they want to see an analysis of the news by someone who is "completely unpartisan" and has a "no spin zone" (i think they still believe it) and then after all their conservative viewpoints have been validated for the day, they watch Sean Hannity right wing fanaticism and think "yeah thats where we need to be headed" and shake their heads as Alan Colmes fumbles with his papers and looks like an idiot

I dont care if he slaps around bill oreally. It will take a lot to remove my support for Joe Biden at this point. The nominations would have to take place and then i would evaluate my decision.

i like how you point out all the important credentials. i can tell you value them because of their minds, and nothing else. this is whats great about america these days. everyone has learned to value someone based on the content of their character and not based on the color of their skin, etc.

by bolding them, i was pointing out that you felt, for some reason, the need to include those things as though they should matter to anyone.

it's like refering Ron Paul as an experienced, consistent, 72 year old, candidate. etc. it's true, sure, but why bother to mention his age, unless it's a concern of yours?

Don't you think it's just a little funny that the GOP had like 4 more guys on stage, and 2 more (newt and fred) thinking about joining...that'd be what...14 GOP candidates? And guess what, they are all old rich white males...how boring and predictable

well, i don't, because i think their ideas suck.

and we're back to square one. you think it's important that they're black, a woman, and hispanic. why? and what is so amazing about this to you? to me, it sounds kind of condescending for you to be saying that.

"WOW, look at the black/woman/hispanic go! they're accomplishing something! isn't that AMAZING?! who'da thunk it?!!!?"

baaaah hahaha what an asshole that O'Reilly is. what an absolutely absurd interview that was. what put the icing on the cake was at the end when he said, "i will say, your book is fascinating" when clearly, he didnt read it. if he read it, he wouldnt have tried to make the points that he did. he especially wouldnt have pulled the "hitler and stalin were atheists, lol!" card, because Dawkins covered that whole thing pretty thoroughly. he used the same, "they both had mustaches" in the book, and Bill was surprised by, and laughed at, that comment.

this says it all:

Bill O'Reilly is big blubbering vagina.

Dodd definitely laid it out thick for O'Rielly. It was good to see. I'm sure Dodd will wear the big panty hose at Daily Kos now and the nutroots will fall in love with him over this one interview over nothing of importance.

That is correct, sir!

It's important because it shows a candidate can stand complicated grassroots efforts like the DailyKos situation...

That in the future his staff would be open to grassroots ideas because he knows he can listen to good idea even if a few of the 500,000 a day are "characters" that the site tries to rid of the obvious trolls

Didn't his mother teach him any manners? I'm suprised that being a conservative he isn't more tuned into that sort of thing. Family values and what not. I don't know about you guys but I was raised to be respectful of others, and that means not interrupting people when they are talking. That is one of my biggest pet peeves. People do it all the time, especially at work in meetings and such. It's funny when two people start interrupting each other and neither one will yield and they both just keep talking and no one can understand anything. I want to slap them.
