If our base structure is the same, I don't see why anyone would think it's "great" to celebrate giving free weapons, ammo and money to bribe Marine-killers to win them over, well, some people value other human lives less than others, I'm not in this thread to judge anyone's value system

Neither does wishful thinking. Sorry. His point that Democrats want more US soldiers to die for political reasons is simply wrong, and doesn't hold water except in the minds of people who so loathe the Democrats that any baseless claim which paints them in a bad light is rejoiced over.

| So you consider bribing marine killers to be success? "hey guys, oh you killed a lot of US marines recently, well will you please please stop and we'll give you all sorts of aid" Really, a shining moment for the US military | ||||

Just think if we do lose Iraq and out of the chaos you have another training camp for Al Qaeda. There will be a very hostile world after Bush leaves office in early 2009. I just hope the other side is as ready and determined to properly deal with that problem as they are with trying to bring down the President? I don't see much sign of that.

Iraqis simply don't like AQ, they are a lot more religious than the neocons who lied to us said they were, but they aren't THAT religious

| The vast majority of the criticism coming from the left has been about Bush and his inept leadership. The military has performed greatly, the problem is there are no military solutions left in Iraq, only political.. and because Bush fails to recognize that, he's kept our troops in the middle of a civil war between factions that have been going at it for a milennia. I'm not sure where this "if he fails" notion is coming from. He has already failed, Iraq is a massive failure on pretty much every level. The largest Sunni bloc recently quit the government that we helped create.. what chance is there now of a viable political solution when they'd rather go on vacation to avoid the heat than sit down and work out their problems? | ||||

| Don't you love how KG has completely ignored the fact that we're arming those who have just got done killing US Marines? Infact, we are REWARDING them throwing all sorts of funding (really its tribute) at them off because we couldn't defeat them "millions for defense, but not one cent for tribute" My how we've become cowards in comparison to our founding fathers | ||||
