Is Bush's support going to further distance him from the evangelical part of his base, or are they already so p*ssed off with him that it makes no difference?

Or does it not matter coz of the exact place within the electorial cycle?

If this measure does get through then wiil it add to the religious right's desire to exert greater control of future GOP presidential candidates? Or will it tend to increase the calls with the religious right to form their own party?

I assume that the religious right DO see this as an 'abortion pill'.

Well seeing a Dr. for birth control, to me, is futile. Because they guess. They don't know what horemones will do what to you, they just give you whatever they usually hand out the most.

you cannot get BC without a prescription. most minors don't go to the doctors without parental consent, since they typically can't afford such.

there are many types of BC, many with adverse affects on certain people; some don't even work at all on a particular person. you HAVE to have a prescription from a doctor, and that's not free.

you can get see a doc and get a prescription there for cheap and the pill for cheap - when I was in high school it was very affordable without parental knowledge, and I'm sure it still is

It's often like $20-50 a month depending on the PP you go to. So yes, I'd have to agree.

And to the kids whose parents don't let them work? In my hometown it wasn't a big deal.

But in the town I work in, it's fairly common. The families are wealthy and often the parents want their kids to focus on school, not work. They buy their kids and all that, but monitor their money allowances. Because the area is wealthy the PP out by me charges $45 a month for BC pills without insurance (private). Over six months that's $270. That's not easy for a 14-17 year old to get. Not to mention they may need transportation there (legal driving age is being moved to 18 in NJ).

In theory it sounds easy. But when you're younger, it's difficult.
