| Bin Ladin’s grievance with the United States may have started in reaction to specific U.S. policies but it quickly became far deeper. To the second question, what America could do,al Qaeda’s answer was that America should abandon the Middle East, convert to Islam, and end the immorality and godlessness of its society and culture:"It is saddening to tell you that you are the worst civilization witnessed by the history of mankind." If the United States did not comply, it would be at war with the Islamic nation, a nation that al Qaeda’s leaders said "desires death more than you desire life." | ||||

| the only reason he said that was because he had to...muslim clerics are very specific that you have to give your enemy a chance to convert to Islam before waging any war... And abandoning the middle east is exactly what people like Ron Paul have pointed out | ||||

It's like the cop coming into the room and telling you you have a choice- big black cop with a nightstick beat a confession out of you, or big white cop with a nightstick beat a confession out of you. Real choice there, huh?

| I think that we are missing the bigger issue and the bigger picture that can be taken from this video. You can talk about Al Gore, Bill Clinton, George Tenet, or any other democrat or democratic appointment in goverment and how they said Saddam Hussein was a threat. You can use the argument that 9/11 changed everything and that we actually had to some something about this alledged threat. 9/11 did not change what the situation would be after we removed this dictator. This mother fucker knew what was going to happen when Saddam was removed. He knew it, and said we would be greated as liberators when trying to sell it. He knew it and was in the position to plan for such events, and he didnt. Now nearly 4,000 soldiers have given their lives, tens of thousands of iraqis are dead, and hundreds of billions have been spent. This guy is a bastard and he should rot some place, whether it be hell or jail, or some where. He knew, and did nothing. Its unfortunate or disgusting that the only "news" that gets it is Jon Stewart. | ||||

| I'm not sure whether anybody realizes this, but 1991 and 2003 were actually different years. Just because it might not have been a good idea 12 years before doesn't mean it was a bad idea a decade later. | ||||
