Van Halen with DLR

Say what you will. But I am going. I have loved VH ever since I bought VH1 in 1979. I never got to see DLR with them. I did see them when they opened their last tour in Greensboro a few years ago with Sammy. It was great.

I'm thinking... Since Greensboro is their 2nd stop this time, they should still be together. Not sure what will happen after the 6th or 7th though.

Van Halen loves Greensboro. They opened their last tour here and it was amazing. At one point Sammy and Eddie were in tears the reception they got was so great. I had no idea Greensboro had it in 'em but it was fucking electric. I have a bootleg CD of it

No price on tickets yet though. They go on sale this Saturday.

you're giving them too much credit, I think the tour will start and end in Charlotte.

Well, they finally released ticket prices. After hearing rumors of tickets being $175-300 it ends up they are $55-125. Cool. I'll be shooting for the good seats on Saturday! Wish me luck!

I remember buying the cassette on January 9th, 1984. What a great album. The amount of partying I did to that tape (I was 18 when it was released) was amazing. When I listen to it I still get into a weird kind of state of mind thinking about all my old friends and how much fun we had being young and dumb.

1984 certainly was THE rock album when I was a teenager. I would love to see and hear them all together again. I'm hoping and praying that they'll tape a concert and release it on DVD. I was just talking about this with my friends. We all really want them to keep on going like they say they're planning on doing, but we just can't imagine them not fighting like cats and dogs and breaking up faster than you can say Johnny Rotten.

Please give us a detailed review of the show, I'm sure that even if they suck terribly, the love in the room will be unbelieveable. I wish I could be there. Good luck on your tickets!

Well. I got tickets but I don't know where my seats are yet. One of our best friends is the director of a local TV station and she called her contacts to see if they could get me good seats. All the floor seats were already taken before tickets even went on sale by The Van Halen Fan Club. So I probably won't get floor seats. But they think the seats may be in the first few rows of the raised seats. Her contact is going to pick up the tickets Wednesday and we will find out after that.

I can't wait!!!!!

Well, my tickets are Section 124 row hh. Or 8th row, middle on the first raised section. These are pretty good seats. I can't wait!!!!!!!

I plan on it! I wish I could sneak in my dSLR but it's just too big. My little point and shoot will have to do. I'll try to get video and audio as well.
