US Military death tolls reaches 3,700 in Iraq

As of Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2007, at least 3,700 members of the U.S. military have died since the beginning of the Iraq war in March 2003, according to an Associated Press count

U.S. military deaths in Iraq at 3,700 - Yahoo! News

Another reminder that the toll keeps rising...every time we say "give them some more time...we're seeing progress..." is a time we keep our forces stuck in Iraq to be killed

The real supporters of the troops will be along shortly to explain why we must keep our boys and girls in that shithole.

Yes because people bring up the numbers of dead US troops to celebrate.

No, we are just wondering why you people have the audacity to say you give a flying fuck about the troops.

This is the best neo-cons can do?

The Demos in congress need to grow a backbone, when people say shit like the above, all they need to say is - when we don't work towards a political solution to bring all side together to stabilize Iraq we are not supporting the troops, when we let the Iraqi government go on recess for two months effectively freezing any talks for peace or or such stabilization we are not supporting the troops, when we don't let the generals do their job on the ground we are not supporting our troops and when we don't give them a solid strategy we are spinning the wheels of our troops causing more to die or get hurt, thus again, not supporting.

The neo-cons are guilty of all that - they have no right or basis to questions anyone's intentions, they've been the worse supporter of troops out of everyone (even those dirty hippies) because they were in the position of power to help them the most and actually made it worse for them

in the next few years, i think roles are going to reverse when people think of which party is "weak on military and terror defense"

it's one of the few things the republicans have to hang on to and they're fucking that up too

it's just a shame it had to happen in this manner

Of course it's a celebration. It's waved like a flag by people to say "If Democrats were in power people wouldn't be dying." Which of course is complete bullshit. If Kerry would have won he had no plans on leaving Iraq immediately.

People die in wars. It's a horrible truth. And bringing up the amount of people that have died because of a political agenda over and over and over again just shows how terribly immature some Democrats truly are.

I'm sure there are plenty of Democrats waiting impatiently for 4000. They have already written their speeches and ready to politicize some more.

Gore, despite what youtube videos you have when this

was popular, would not have invaded Iraq during his 2001-2004 term, we had inspectors in there, they were doing there job, there was no reason to use force at that point

Yes, Democrats would have saved 3700+ American lives, and reduced, not inflamed, terrorism around the world

No it's not.

Nobody in here is celebrating and it's disgusting that you are trying to deflect the real issue by acting like people are.
