| I dont know about Iraq but it really fucked up Iran for the worse. Twice. We have examples of where it has worked and examples on where it has not worked. Listing them and then determining "well it worked on 2 more than it has not worked on so it will work in Iraq!" is a stupid argument to have. The question is will it work in Iraq and the answer is most likely no. Anti-american feelings run high in the entire region because of our actions, past and present. | ||||

| Our national secuirty, or lack thereof, resulting from Iraq is not just what stems from the ground there. You cannot forget that before Iraq, it was only a very small contingent of people who resented America. Now, it's extremely wide spread. We're now a country that's so hated it's not safe to advertise yourself as an American abroad. Instead of carrying prestige and occupying the moral high ground, we've completely lost all credibility and are seen as aggresor bullies. If any small country was on the fence about whether getting nukes was a good idea, they're now in a mad rush to acquire them because we've shown nuclear power is the only thing that keeps us from invading. You have to wonder what sort of effects all of this will have on national security, and it has nothing to do with Iraqis, although it has everything to do with our invasion of Iraq. | ||||
