It was known while Bill was still in office that Hillary was the most politically driven of the two and it was speculated then that she would stay with Bill because of her future political aspirations. Of course those speculations became fact after time.

| I just think it says a lot about her character, and although it might not prevent me voting for her depending who she's running against, it will certainly influence my decision.

| Have you ever really loved someone besides people in your family until you do you will never know what you would do if the same thing happened to you. Life gets very complicated, and they also had a child to consider. | ||||

Once she won her Senate seat and Bill was out of office, she had all the reason to divorce him...saying they tried counseling after the affair and realized they couldn't work things out...she'd be in great shape to spend many years developing her political goals and a lot of moderate woman would respect her for going through what she did on national television and then giving him the boot...I mean jees Rudy is on his 3rd wife and no one cares, you are acting like divorce would have ruined her I think she took a political hit by staying with Bill, but even if Bill is as morally evil as the minority of Americans like to believe, we know it's very difficult for him to have any sort of relationship with a good looking upstanding girl outside Hillary, especially considering her presidential ambitions, the media following Bill, etc...you think he's the kinda guy who is gonna jerk off in the shower every morning? They have sex, and Bill's a pretty smooth guy and Hillary is a very warm person in private, I bet they both really enjoy it...and actual sex (not blowjobs) as I'm sure you know, is a very refreshing reminder in a marriage that you still have something good But, by all means, make up your own evil hillary narrative, if there's one thing that will drive down hillary's negatives, its character attacks, because as much as moderate women and liberals in general are iffy about Hillary, the one thing neither can stand is a male press corp going after her character, it's one of the few ways she can beat even Rudy, and would crush anyone else

| Are you suggesting that Bill Clinton was in love with the people he was sexually harrassing and cheating on Hillary with? I would have to say I disagree. And regardless, if you're totally committed to someone you wouldn't fall in love with another person.

| No, thats not what he's saying at all When you really truely love someone, they can fuckup like fool around with someone else, and that doesn't destroy your love...infact you love them so much you can overcome that It has been my observation, that there is a correlation between people low in deep intimate long term relationships and those who are quick to say they'd give someone the boot if they did any sort of cheating whatsoever just once | ||||

I was cheated on in a long term relationship. Eventually I wised up and no there was no amount of apologizing that would force me to stick around. The reality is, Bill didn't screw up once. He screwed up over and over again for roughly a decade. At some point Hillary has to show that her potential career isn't as important as her dignity.

| So when a woman stays with someone for partly "political" reasons and use their marriages for political gain, it's bad...but men do it CONSTANTLY and that's ok? Go figure. | ||||

I think she stayed with Bill AGAINST her political interests I never think apologizing is enough to cover up cheating, but if that's all your SO offered then there more problems than her cheating, and in some cases its good they do it before you get even more attached There is a change of action people can undertake What if Hillary said 'i've had enough of this shit, as soon as you leave office, im leaving you' and he begged for one more chance, eventually she said "fine, but ur not going to change my mind" and low and behold, after some 3 years of his new attitude, him changing the way he acts towards her, how he spends his free time, etc etc, they were able to move on... It's certainly a possibility, one the right-leaners in this thread will never even consider, but one I think is more truthful than some cold calculating "ok bill, ill stay with you but only because i want to be president" If that were the case, i think Bill would have been caught cheating by now by the paparazzi now that he isn't able to hide in the WH...he's not the kind of guy that can have a sexless, loveless life

| There is just so much of it going on out there that it is a good thing that it is not a deal breaker for most families that deal with it. If it was we would have very few married people in the world and a lot more messed up children because they are the ones who often pay for the breakup. | ||||
