I agree that they've probably kept their marriage intact solely for political reasons. But I also agree that it's good that they've kept their marriage together, regardless of their reasons for doing so.

How bad does a husband have to be before it's ok for a wife to leave him? I would feel bad for Hillary for Bills repeated affairs. But when she does nothing but enable him to continue his passion for other women I feel less sorry for her. She goes from being a victim to an idiot.

No one is feeling sorry for her. I think she knew exactly what she had and was living with it, but when the glare of the publicity was on her she did not flinch. With the world watching her and thinking she should dump him especially all of the many feminist and their supporters which she seems to be very much a part of she stayed with him going against their wishes. I think it was also better for the country, that she stayed with him, what a soap opera it would have been in Washington if she had left him, and I think she might have taken that into consideration also.

perhaps during his presidency, but then afterwards at least. staying with him this long is a joke.

If the other person pisses on their wedding vows, why should you uphold your end? Whether it's cheating or some other form of emotional abuse, physical abuse, etc.

Also aren't liberals always the ones claiming marriage is a legal thing and not a religious thing? And most people in America don't subscribe to a religion or an ideology that states you can't get a divorce.

I'm a Christian, and I hold marriage sacred. I also know that Jesus said in the case of adultery, divorce is A-OK.

But he does NOT say that it's required. If a woman (in general, not Clinton in particular) can forgive an unfaithful husband and stay with him, then I have a great deal of respect for that, and obviously she's the better person. And by being a better wife, she can sometimes make him into a better husband.

Either that or there were political and financial advantages to staying in a loveless marriage.

Either can be the case for them.

I think that of course that each case is different if the guy or gal is a complete ass or a physical abuser who cannot change then divorce is the only route.

I haven't been married as long as Hilary, but, I don't think that if I found out, especially the way she found out that my Husband was cheating, that I would leave him.

Hilary found out in the worst way I could imagine finding out. She had to find out in front of AMERICA and the WORLD.

I think from the perspective of a wife, with children, I can understand if she wanted to stay with him. Because I know that I've made mistakes in my marriage, and I didn't get married to end up divorced.

She is proof that even the most flawed marriage can be worth the effort to save and I can applaud that.

It's not like she is unkept, in a trailor park, and he's banging $2 13 year old girls. He is a man in power, who fell into a situation that put his priorities to his wife in Jeopordy.

The only person he has to convince to trust him in a marriage is her, and he must have done that.

The Clinton marriage being a fraud has as much basis as any 9/11, JFK , or other conspiracy out there. And the evidence that it is a bullshit claim is in the fact that 90% of the people who think it's a political marriage are people who just don't like the clintons.

Right, because people never, EVER stay in marriages for reasons of expediency. Never. Especially when one or both parties are powerful and rich.

I'm not saying their marriage HAS TO BE a sham, but how do you justify putting the proposition somewhere between ridiculous and impossible?

Because Clinton isn't going to stop having sex, and he's trailed as a private citizen now, the paparizzi would LOVE a big story about Clinton having another affair
