Obama makes me like him again

Obama's girls aren't fans of YouTube's Obama girl

By Nedra Pickler
The Associated Press

SALEM, N.H. - Obama girl has upset Obama's girls.

The Web video of a scantily clad actress pledging her affection for Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama has been a hit online, but not in his own home. Obama says his 6-year-old daughter Sasha has noticed news coverage of the video.

"Sasha asked Mommy about it," Obama said Monday in an interview with The Associated Press. "She said, `Daddy already has a wife' or something like that."

"I Got A Crush On Obama" stars an aspiring model and actress named Amber Lee Ettinger, aka Obama Girl. Her song, which has lines like "Universal health care reform, it makes me warm," has gotten more than 3 million hits and nearly 10,000 comments since being posted two months ago on YouTube, the online video-sharing site.

Sen. Obama, D-Ill., said he knows the video was meant to be lighthearted, but he wasn't smiling when asked about it in the interview.

"I guess it's too much to ask, but you do wish people would think about what impact their actions have on kids and families," Obama said during the interview, held in the den of a supporter who just had hosted a campaign stop on her front lawn attended by about 120 people.

"This is part of the process of politics that can be difficult, (that) is making sure that your kids and your wife and your family are insulated from both things like this and what I suspect will be at some point some negative campaigning," Obama said.

Unlike John Edwards, who personal vanity is a very known quantity, I think Obama means it. I note we have not seen any shirtless Obama pictures on the beach since the first incident. He is not trying to work flash over substance, and I give him honesty points. Compare that to Bill Clinton who had no problem telling MTV what kind of underwear he wears, as well as many other Pop Star flirtations with the Hollywood crowd!

I know:

I do think Obama has the most honesty and integrity of the Big Democrat three, even if I do disagree with much of his views on substance.

Without a doubt. There is no comparison between Obama and Edwards/Hillary on integerity. He's in another league. I would never vote for Hillary/Edwards. Obama I have no problem supporting for this very reason.

Correct me if I'm wrong and I know people should not be accountable for other family members but haven't some of his family been involved in political scandal in the past. I thought I heard something about this a long time ago. I could be wrong.

I have not, but I am sure Hillary will have her goons bring it up. If anyone is going to give "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington" a hard lesson it will be her long before the GOP gets a chance.

Obama Fights Back:

Sept. 28 (Bloomberg) -- Former President Bill Clinton said he was far more experienced when he made his successful 1992 White House run than Senator Barack Obama is today.

"There is a difference,'' Clinton said in an interview with Bloomberg Television's "Political Capital With Al Hunt'' that will air this weekend. "I was the senior governor in America. I had been head of any number of national organizations that were related to the major issue of the day, which is how to restore America's economic strength.''

Sept. 29 CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - Democratic presidential hopeful Barrack Obama said Saturday his public service experience trumps that of rival Hillary Rodham Clinton's, and he tried to use her husband's words to make his point.

Obama, a first-term senator from Illinois, said his background as a community organizer, lawyer, professor and state senator is more valuable than Hillary Clinton's experience "working the system" as first lady and in other roles.
In doing so, Obama tried to throw former President Clinton's words back at him, quoting comments Bill Clinton made in a 1992 debate with the first President Bush.

"The same old experience is not relevant. ... And you can have the right kind of experience and the wrong kind of experience," Clinton said at the time.

"He's exactly right," Obama said at a rally. "What we need to do is put an end to the wrong kind of experience."

Obama keeps impressing me every day. He's more trusting than Madam Clinton and Edwards and can't blame him for the Obama Girls bit...he's playing to stay away from anything that can hurt him.

I can't begin to explain how frustrating it is to see Obama fail to make even a dent in Hillary's numbers. Those 35-40% of Democrats are beginning to really piss me off. It's like they have to vote for her just because of her last name.

While she is still far better than any of the GOP candidates (besides Paul), I still think our party can put up better.

The less experience a candidate has at lying the American public and being "political" the better president they would make in my opinion. I would actually prefer someone a little less experienced.

Obama is not out of the race just yet. But this stupid flap over the pin is not winning points. He better go left of Hillary and remind voters about the "honesty" question when it comes to that last name! These people play hard ball. She is in it to win it!

Obama will not get there being nice.........

The problem is not having less experiance, it is looking like it!

If the Clinton's know how to do anything it is run a good campaign. They are five steps ahead of everybody else right now.

Obama made me like him again when I saw this episode the other day. I found it interesting to hear him talk about no tax breaks for the rich to a cheering audience while Tyra the tycoon sat beside him all smiley. No tax breaks for Tyra? Obama certainly didn't look like he was pretending to be white here.
