They do claim to be a professional clinic conducting health procedures, no?
A bit low? When auto makers are informed of changes in federal requirements they are given years to comply. The same is true for almost any major industry. One week is more than just a bit low.

But they're not complaining about that. They're complaining about the forcing them to meet the same health standards as other clinics as if they should be special.

If there was data to support the assertion that they need to adhere to the more strict standards, I wouldn't have a problem with it. Just so long as they are given sufficient time to meet the new standards. But this is being done in such a way as to specifally have the goal of shutting down these sites.

Right here in Jersey abortion clinics had to be shut down.
Inspections of N.J. licensed abortion clinics are rare

Wait a minute. That story says:

Slater attributed the lack of oversight to the drastic increase in New Jersey-licensed health facilities since 2000 and the minimal increase in new health inspectors. According to Slater, the number of ambulatory-care facilities in New Jersey has nearly doubled since 2000, rising from 594 to 1,003. In that time, only 23 more inspectors have been hired, giving the department a total of 171.
1,003 facilities. 171 inspectors. That comes out to about 6 facilities per inspector. It takes them 3-4-5-6 years to inspect a facility because they don't have enough inspectors!!!???

They have GOT to be union.

Nah, if it was union they'd have 6 inspectors for every facility, with 5 of them standing around to agree or disagree with the 6th.

They're a 501c3, but they constantly turn a rather large profit.

Even non-profit statis does not mean you are not a large volume payroll business. It is a living for all the doctors, medical people, clerical people involved. And that is just the abortion clinic side. Group like Planned Parenthood pay people quite well to give their standard lectures wherever they can. They are making money like everybody else. Geenpeace does the same thing and people can't stop throwing money at them either.

Even so, we aren't talking about NJ.
