Is RO water a bit too pure, and does it leach the mercury out of your dental fillings?

1st No. Basically all tap water is processed that way. But they usually add back the appropriate minerals for taste and health.

Never heard that rumor about the mercury.

I was wondering about the small domestic RO units that produce ultra pure water, and what are the leaching levels on yer fillings?

What if yer fillings drop out and you swallow them, does yer stomach acid dissolve them and give ye a bit o' poisoning?

they're cool, i've gotten a few warnings but that's because i brought over some OT antics which i shouldnt have. but i wasnt banned, and that goes to show that the mods are pretty level headed guys. i wouldnt think you should worry about anything, as long as you dont start attacking the character of other posters, or their mothers, or sisters, etc.

distilled water has no warnings on it. But then most people cannot stand the taste of that stuff and it is really expensive.

Surely you know I would never, never, never, never, resort to personal attacks on the person, but as for other junk and shite they have accumulated in their lives, there may be some debating ground for. Their mothers are probably fat though.

I use RO/DI water to put in my fish tanks. Less minerals = less shit for algae to eat = less algae. Phosphates in particular.

I've lived short periods with RO tap water. I never noticed any difference
