...A television documentary airing nationwide this coming weekend "connects the dots" between Charles Darwin and Adolf Hitler. Featuring 14 scholars, scientists, and authors -- and hosted by Dr. D. James Kennedy of Coral Ridge Ministries -- Darwin's Deadly Legacy: The Chilling Impact of Darwin's Theory of Evolution outlines how the theory of evolution influenced the WWII German dictator. "Hitler tried to speed up evolution, to help it along," says Kennedy," and millions suffered and died in unspeakable ways because of it. To put it simply: no Darwin, no Hitler." Among those joining the Christian broadcaster for the one-hour program will be Lee Stroebel, author of The Case for a Creator, and conservative columnist Ann Coulter, who says Hitler "was just hurrying natural selection along" because he thought Aryans were the fittest human beings. The broadcast also makes the case that eugenics -- the breeding of a superior race of humans by improving hereditary qualities -- is part of the legacy left by the father of evolution. Darwin's legacy, says Kennedy, is "millions of deaths, the destruction of those deemed 'inferior,' the devaluing of human life, and increasing hopelessness." Consequently, he says, the time has come for Darwinian theory to be "discarded into the dustbin of history." The documentary airs on August 26-27 on "The Coral Ridge Hour." [Jody Brown]

so the bish's couldn't refute the science with their (psuedo-)science, why not pound it with a highly emotional, yet incorrect, arguement claiming evolution promotes eugenics.

and to think a christian would lie to forward his agenda - 'gods agenda'.

Except evolution started as a means to explain why white's were greater. We were more evolved then the apelike black men, therefore we can conquer them, enslave them etc....

@suggesting evolution was a made-up idea to rationalize racism. Darwin wasn't even the one that developed eugenics as a philosophy of thought of reproduction.

The cousin who he said was quite intelligent, but held ideas that were too out there and too utopian to ever be realistically possible. Hitler was also a brilliant yet disturbed man, as were Stalin and Pol Pot... Does that mean I support their ideas just because I compliment their intellect?

But this "documentary" maker is trying to suggest by his language that Darwin endorsed and supported Hitler and those other crimes against humanity, and thus by extension anyone who believes in evolution supports mass genocide. He's trying to place the blame for these crimes on the shoulders of Darwin because Darwin developed a theory.

That's like suggesting Henry Ford is to blame for all car accident deaths and injuries throughout history because he developed the idea of assembly lines in relation to motor vehicles. It's idiotic, counter to logic, and entirely based on emotion in an effort to villify a theory through smearing it's creator.

I can show the link between Jesus and 9/11.

Had Jesus not existed there would be no Christianity. Had there been no Christianity there would have been no Crusades. Had there been no Crusades, Islam would not have felt threatened by the West. Had Islam not felt threatened by the West, Islamic fundamentalist extremism would not have developed as a West-hating entity. Had it not developed as such, 9/11 never would have happened.

No Jesus, no 9/11. Jesus is responsible for those deaths.

Actually, there would be no 9/11 if there wasn't any Mohammed. Muslims have bombed / acted crazy in many non-Christian nations. The Islamic East hates both the West (Christian) and the Far East (non-Christian) so your arugment is not even somewhat logical, even in this idiotic example.

No, it still works. Mohammed built his teachings off of those of Jesus; Eugenics was created by Darwin's cousin based on the theories of Darwin.
