I downloaded the Medal of Honor Airborne Demo and it won't run with my video card. Fark....

It's not even that old! Radeon X850

I have a Dual Xeon 2.8 system and it plays everything great. But it doesn't have a PCIExpress slot and it seems all the new DX10 cards are all PCIExpress. I can't find any AGP

Yeah, it sucks. I thought about just replacing my vid card or something to give my system a little longer.. but with agp being extinct, I just decided it was time to do a complete overhaul, this one should last me quite awhile I think

Did you pull the trigger on that yet?

The motherboard is very nice, in fact I ordered it. I RMA'd it though because two SATA connectors get eatin up by the extended graphics cards.

Also, the 640MB version really doesn't have any worthwhile performance increase over the 320MB 8800GTS. It helps a little if you play at very high resolutions, but that's about it. The 320MB version is the better buy, the 640MB is kinda pricey for the performance.

My monitor is 1680x1050, I want to play games at that resolution as well.

What do you mean about the SATA connections? Link?

The two left (top and bottom) SATA connections in this picture were blocked by my 8800GTS.

I ended up going with this board instead. Now I'm having trouble getting my memory to run stable.

Yeah, I have an 8800 GTX and my SATA slots were right there. Fucking big ass card tried to get me...but I prevailed...yes, I prevailed.

Everything is up and running, had it for a day or so now.. only problem I ran into was the Big Typhoon not fitting because of some diodes on the motherboard blocking it.. but the stock cooler is working fine and quiet as a mouse, so I'll be sending the other back

I didn't run into the SATA problem you did, not sure if you got an older model of the motherboard or the manufacturer of your card just made it different, but my 8800GTS fits fine, I have two SATA HD's connected, one in the 1st slot (far left top), and the other in the 2nd slot (middle top)

You probably could have gotten the right angle SATA connectors and just plugged the cable in before putting your vid card in if it was that big of a problem.. but there's plenty of space in mine..

Looks pretty damn impressive

Good choice across the board for all your components...I would have had second thoughts on corsair personally, I've had bad luck in my hipo systems of the past with them...but overall I think they build prettyg ood shit.

Good everything, grats on the purchase. Though I would have gone with different memory, pump up the voltage to 2.35 volts (from 2.1v) to get any real performance out of your coomputer.
