You talking about two people that did stupid things is ignorant. There are plenty of Democrats that did stupid things and are in trouble. You aren't going to mention them? (imagine!)

Walter Reed is fucked up and looks like it's been fucked up for a long time. It's finally getting the support that is needed. Democrats could have stepped up and fixed things sooner but didn't. Why not? So they could blame Republicans?

Since this is a thread about Edwards, then we need to discuss Edwards. Is it impossible to say something negative about a Democrat without saying "Well republicans are worse!"? Seems childish.
stylerod, be nice now. he was pointing out inconsistencies on both parts. it was a "point" he was making. bush avoided combat, and that's a clear fact.

The Air National Guard, when Bush enlisted, had units in combat in Vietnam since 1961. They were first stationed in Thailand and then moved to S. Vietnam once they had good enough air bases to fly from. Air National Guard was no guarantee of not flying in combat.

Also, the time Bush was in the ANG was the hight of the cold war with the possibility of Russian attack at any time. The ANG was our first defense against that and those pilots were highly trained and were excellent pilots.

What you just said here is proof that people will listen when Democrats lie. You heard all about Bush joining so he could get out of fighting. But they only way he could have gotten out of fighting was to not enlist at all.

On 2 January 1968, President Lyndon Johnson ordered
the mobilization of 9,343 ANG personnel in response to the
North Korean seizure of the American spy ship, the USS
133
Pueblo. Within 36 hours, approximately 95 percent of the air
guardsmen had reported to their units. Eight tactical fighter
groups, three tactical reconnaissance groups, and three wing
headquarters were mobilized. Four fighter squadrons were
deployed to Vietnam. The 355th Tactical Fighter Wing in
Vietnam was officially an Air Force unit, but 85 percent of
its members were guardsmen. An additional 1,333 air
guardsmen mobilized on 13 May 1968 in response to the
Communist’s Tet offensive in Vietnam. The Air Guard flew
approximately 30,000 sorties and 50,000 combat hours in
Southeast Asia.
Don't listen to all the horse shit Democrats throw out there. They don't mind lying if they feel it serves there purpose.

Lots of people enlist and never leave the country. My Grandfather joined the Army in 1942 and never left the country. He wasn't injured or impaired in any way. It's just his outfit kept getting assigned jobs stateside. Once you sign up you are at the mercy of the military. Good or bad.

Hey guys. Haven't been over here in awhile.

I don't see the hypocrisy in driving a tour bus full of people when he's out campaigning, and I don't see the hypocrisy in having a lot of possessions but asking people to choose more efficient possessions.
