| Kos once again tells his bloggers to stop being stupid Just before the YearlyKos convention the liberal blog DailyKos came under fire for a lot of their ... overly left-leaning conspiracy style posts. Kos told his community that those kinds of posts and the attention they get degrades the quality of the blog.
Kos has been trying to upkeep the good reputation the DailyKos has had for so long. However, with its popularity he is now getting truthers, conspiracists and all around nutjobs.
The blogs as far as I'm aware have been deleted by Kos off the site. However, before they were deleted they constantly got very high recommendations. The DailyKos is supposed to be able to filter itself through recommendations and troll ratings, but sometimes blogs like those get bumped to the top of the charts and it ends up making Kos community look a bit foolish. I have to say it's nice to see Kos take charge of his blog for a change and uphold some standards. It does however go against his statements of he isn't going to police his blog because it's a "democracy" which is "something the GOP doesn't understand", etc. He's shown he very clearly can take the high ranking blogs that hold all tht utter crap in them and squash them like a bug if he cares enough about the integrity of his site. And in all honesty, he probably should. Many other blogs do attempt to do some moderation and if Kos wants to keeps it's reputation it might be wise to set up a moderation team and attempt to keep an eye on the postings of his site.

| Often times people recommend stuff they disagree with so it gets more involvement / discussion from the community.. a recommendation isn't always a measure of acceptance, so your overall point doesn't necessarily hold true.. ..but in this case i think it certainly does.. obvious wishful thinking on the part of the 'groupthink' people who want Bush to look bad | ||||
