How is a nation's productivity measured?

When people compare the productivity of countries, how is that productivity measured?

Hopefully these help, productivity is multifactor/multitier measurement, perhaps the simplest most straightforward is taking overall output and dividing it by the number of workers in an economy.

This could further be extrapolated by a per hour output if needed.
