It still doesn't matter if the guy was looking to get a cop in trouble. If he can find a cop that'll do what this cop did, then he's doing GOOD, not bad. Without video, I'd be more swayed to your side....

While I personally have had little interaction with the police (mostly positive) too many times the police seem to insist they are right even when they are not, and can turn nasty if you question them. I have no sympathy for police who do not do their job fairly. Th kid may have been provoking the police, but they should be professional enough to ignore it.

Before those programs i had no idea that was a significant problem, nor the level of the problem.

he may have "baited" the cop into it, but the "officers" actions were all his own and completely unjustified. The cop had no reason to act the way that he did or pursue the kid the way he did. the kid should have been sent on his way swiftly rather than the cop grilling him.

| He was fired No wonder he was so free with his threats about making up charges to arrest this kid. He had his video camera off.

| A cop tried to do that with me after a guy pulled a knife on me and I kicked the guy's ass. The guy convinced these girls in his apartment that my 2 friends and I broke into his apartment with baseball bats then drug him outside. We didn't even have baseball bats, and he came down to my sisters' apartment(he threatened to kill my sister - that doesn't sit well with me). Cop said I was under arrest for breaking and entering, assault, and anything else he can make up. I told him to fuck off and my first phone call will be to the county judge(said it by the Judge's name, my gma eats lunch with his wife every Thursday :P) 'cause he's a great family friend. Cop backed off after that. I so wanted to have his badge taken away. | ||||

The kid got stopped at a DUI checkpoint, and refused to tell the officer where he was going. That's it. He was detained for doing that. He has plenty of justification to be angry with the cops because that's a bunch of bullshit.
