Is there a "weaker sex"?

Women also have a stigma put on them by the super-christians. I know my mother always told me growing up that I was expected to do this and that because women can't (the list included physical, emotional, and spiritual things).

While I was in statesboro, there was a Baptist church in which the pastor's wife was not allowed to speak unless her husband told her she could. It was pretty horrible, but if you went up to her and asked her how she was doing, she looked at her husband for approval before saying a word.

Jebus. What bugs me, is that this "moral" high grounded has used the "weaker" sex arguement to validate their treatment of women. It's so....UNCHRISTIAN.

My grandma thinks it's strange that my Husband has stayed home with our son and taken care of him since he was an infant. (we have opposite schedules so he stays with him when I'm at work.) And part of her reasoning, is that because I'm a woman, I should be home with him, and that my husband doesn't have the ability to care for a baby. But, he's my equal. If I can do it, he can do it too. It's so sad that society has put the sexes against eachother, when we should just be a team and work together without the interruption of these crazy religious ideas that put us against each other.

My husband has gotten out of more tickets than me. I get a speeding ticket, a ticket for having a defective exhaust etc and he gets a warning for evading police? Yeah.

I haven't read the whole thread. But why "weaker" I'm thinking physically. Since I'm pretty sure I can beat every girl I know in arm wrestling I'm going to say yes, girls are the "weaker" sex.
