This is getting way off topic, but the point is, the US is not responsible for the creation of this terrorist group - the individual members are wholly responsible for their actions.

Whether the members would have come together to form a group in the absence of US action is a fun thing to debate, but it has no bearing on the responsibility of the members for their actions.

any way you look at it, these terrorists are guilty of their own actions. Nobody put a gun to their head and forced them to do anything.

The suggestion that the US "created" an enemy is just stupid. Nobody made them do it. It's a childish argument that most parents knock of out their children before they hit elementary school.

Saddam was the recognized ruler of Iraq, it was well in his authority to stop the country from breaking apart just like Lincoln did

And I think hundreds of thousands of militants > 2 sons (btw what ruler have you ever heard of that personally sent their sons to prison for crimes outside the family?)
