Leave those sheep alone.

as you have to know it's going to be some bullshit racist class. they all are.
LOL @ the post above that statement doesn't say that at all. It says, that his class wasn't like that. But, as we all know...they ALL are. Every single one of them. No exceptions....

It targets the topic. I have a feeling that race was discussed in that class. So were gender issues.

But, that's OK. Because you know all of the classes curriculum, because they are all the same.

I don't even think that changes anything honey, because let's say a class is specified at a certain ethnicity such as....

"African American Literature"

According to you, that class is going to be about hating whitey, no matter what. Because they are all the same.

You tend to do this alot, where you make blanket statements about something based only on your assumptions, and possibley your experience. If I wanted my arguements to be taken seriously, I would stick to what I know, instead of what I assume to be true for everything.

Because as I am sure there are classes that fit the criteria you are complaining about...not EVERY class is like that. That's a fallacy.

The class wasn't racist at all. It examined the experiences of different groups in America but didn't make any claims to racial superiority, racial inferiority, inherent abilites based on race, or any other sort of racist stuff. It was "this was the experience of x people, here's what they said about it," more than anything else.

I don't think you understand racism . Exploring the experiences of people grouped by gender or racial background is much different than endorsing a racist philosophy. I know you're trolling, but still.

I think alot of those classes, that is what the class is about. It's about getting a side to the story that the mainstream can and does ignore alot of times. I just read the Slave Narratives this summer, and I didn't realize alot of that side of the story, and what the slave traders and owners actually did to keep slaves. And I think it's sad that more people are not made aware of Man's inhumanity to Man, and how that affects our psyche as Americans today.

It's not racist. It's not about an ethinicity being better. It's about a point of view of what happened.
