Wes Clark endorses Hillary

It would appear one of my top 3 favorite democrats has endorsed Hillary Clinton for president. Personally, I think the fact she is running is the reason he is not running. Wesley Clark and the Clintons have always been buddys, and Bill endorsed Wes during the primarys in 2004.

Hopefully she picks him up as a VP or will put him in a good position where he can be an influence the Iraq conflict.

I think we're going to see a lot of people endorse Hillary as she gains ground in the primaries. I always think of Hillary as the person America doesn't like, but is voting for her because they think everyone else will and they don't want a Republican again.

If/when she wins the primary, her VP pick will be a major factor in whether I vote for her or not. I do know I am not voting for the republican nominee, and the only republican with a fighting chance for my vote is Ron Paul.

The polls all show her likability ratings in the gutter, yet people still choose her. There's gotta be a reason for that.

That would probably be one of the smartest moves on her part. Picking him to be VP would definately help strengthen the ticket and possibly sway voters who otherwise are hesitant about voting for a woman (as unbelievably stupid as that is).

Clinton/Obama would be the worse ticket imaginable - the Republicans are great at using fear and hate to galvanize otherwise rational people to support their causes.

Sad to say, the Republican base will play up Obama's name as a reason not to vote for him (Muslim sounding and non "american name") and use Clinton's past with Bill (and Bill's precieved softness on terrorism) and gender to sway more people.

Don't underestimate the Republican machine - the Republican candidate may be honorable but the party mechanism behind will certainly wont be - just look at past elections

Yeah, they definitely couldnt slam the ticket as being 'soft on terror', and that fear (terrorism) issue is the only thing the republicans have going for them. They can't campaign on domestic progress such as healthcare or social security, or reduction in government, or fiscal responsibility, etc.

He had some nice things to say about General Petraeus on Fox the other day and they asked him about the VP thing. He was very modest, but he did not say he would turn it down as I recall.

I think he would be a smart move for Hillary, but I really don't see why people keep endorsing her. America doesn't like her. Of all the candidates running she has one of the lowest likability ratings going. Also, currently all three top Democratic candidates running are beating the top Republican in the polls. America wants a Democrat, and Hillary is getting a boost within her party from her name/popularity and desire to beat the GOP. But I really think people need to start endorsing the other candidates before Hillary. When the smut starts to fly and it's one on one Hillary's likability is going to come into play. I really think the Democrats are setting themselves up for the worst possible scenario front-running Hillary right now.

The Democratic party really needs to start catering to America and the opinions of Americans if they want to take back the presidency. Everything is once again in their favor, they need to push strong and leading Democrats endorsing Hillary just isn't helping them any.

BREAKING NEWS: Rob Reiner endorses Hillary Clinton

Earlier this week, Washington's political elite took notice when Indiana Sen. Evan Bayh --- the very definition of a moderate, heartland Democrat --- endorsed Hillary Clinton's presidential bid. Now, she's scored a coup in Hollywood, earning the support of Rob Reiner, one of the entertainment community's quintessential liberal activists.
