Bin Laden urges Pakistan holy war

BBC NEWS | South Asia | Bin Laden urges Pakistan holy war

Nothing real surprising in the article except for last paragraph:

.....Indeed, our correspondent says, a poll released earlier this month suggested the Pakistani president was less popular in his own country than the al-Qaeda leader himself.

Ouch...the war on terror is going swimmingly eh?

Musharraf's position does seem precarious, ..., why does he need to be both political & military leader?

He seems keen to get someone, (Bhutto?) to be president so he can stay head of military

Pakistani society seems massively split & the use of violence by global jihadists to destabilise the nation & their 'triumph' as the authoritarian solution for the 'problem' of the lawless anarchy seems almost inevitable.
The whole 'Red Mosque' deal just showed the idiocy of the military, ..., should've locked them up in the mosque, ..., not even starved them out, ..., they, near enough, wanted to be killed.

The 'ordainary' urban Pakistani can probably look forward to a Baghdad kind of life-style sometime in the next few years. Where can the Pakistani urban middle class flee to?

I'd be sh*tting myself if I'd worked on their nuke programe as the last act of the old state should it collapse may well be to kill them.
