| ANother world series for the Sox? Beckett is a fire breathing baseball god. The sox lineup is stacked, and the Angels still have to get past Dice K, the league leader in K's. Then Schilling, the world series winning veteran. I fully expect the Yanks to mak short work of the indians and then it's another 7 game series for the AL title. The NL is a joke, so no matter who wins over there, The Sox will kill them. It's lookin real good. REAL good. | ||||

| as much as I hate to say it, if we go up against the yanks I feel like it's not going to be good. they have been owning us lately. especially gayrod. as much as I like the indians and would like to see them victorious, I think the yanks are going to take it. It also depends how our pitching lines up with theres and if we can get into Rivera's head again, like we have in the past.... but if we fail, I think the cubbies will take them out, because if it's not our year, it's the last of the curses that is going to be reversed....

Then you have Cleveland which tied the Sox with the best records in all of baseball. Then you have the always dangerous Yankees with a powerhouse of an offense and pretty solid pitching. And of course the Angels which no one wants to face. The NL we have the Phillies facing the rockies, two marginal teams, the Phils don't even belong in the playoffs. Then the Diamond backs and the Cubs? I just don't see any of them standing up to any of the AL teams. | ||||

| I know. I remember when I was about 15 or 16 working at an Eagle Food store in IL and the Cubs made the playoffs (1979 or 80?). We always had elevator music pumped into the store and the manager told me to figure out how to make it get the Cubs game. I did. We got so many compliments from the customers. | ||||

| Yup. Intentional walk. I can't say I blame them though. Ortiz has been more of a threat lataely than Manny has... but it's a gamble. Not only because of Manny but because after Manny comes Lowell who is also clutch. There really is no safe part of the lineup. | ||||
