Ron Paul raised over $5 Million for Q3

But he has no chance.

If that money doesn't translate into poll numbers with likely voters in the Republican primaries, he really doesn't have a chance..

Do you have the latest numbers on how he's polling nationally with likely primary voters?

What are you talking about?

The fact is Paul has people donating to him. LOTS of people. He has LOTS of people, more than any other candidate that volunteer to help with the campaign. It is phenomenal.

Romney has to give himself money to even stay a float.

People aren't donating to Giuliani, McCain, Thompson, or Romney. They are donating to Paul.

It is astounding people still discounting. ASTOUNDING. The press still comments "Paul raised and impressive $5 million, but still has no chance"

How is that for journalism?

I'm not discounting the guys grassroots / netroots popularity, and certainly raising that much money without being one of the frontrunners is impressive.

But again, getting people to vote for him on primary day, ie: registered Republicans in many cases, is what really matters.. and the polls don't really show him as competitive at the moment. Maybe that will change as time progresses, I'd certainly rather have Ron Paul as the nominee than any of the other douchebag Republicans.

Are you / lew / Ardent / the rest of his supporters registered as Republicans in your states (if it matters for voting in primaries)?

Are you active in the process there?

I dont have to be a registered Republican to vote for him in Texas either, though I think as a candidate I'm barred from voting in primaries for other parties. That's how it was last year.

pretty sure.

I can vote in general elections, just not primaries. Can't even sign a petition for another candidate of a different party, iirc

I know quite a few people that are going to vote in the primaries for RP, and not just people not registered with a party either.. registered democrats and registered libertarians (a little more obvious) are planning to do it as well. And that's just people I know personally... I'm sure if they did try something like that, there'd be an outcry.

There's nothing I can do about those places. I just know about GA. I hope there are people in those states that have some sort of solution to get him voted for.
