Some of you might remember a thread a couple weeks ago where I outlined an idea where we could make a wiki to keep track of corruption in politics...

Well, I followed through. It took a while because of shit at class and work, but over this week I've been able to take the time to get it going. Publius and Jajae have helped put in some test content and Publius has especially helped in getting lists of congressmen up so that we have a starting point.

At this point it's ready for people to check it out and add stuff as they see fit. So, if anyone is interested in helping the project along or if you just want to see what we have done already, check it out

Nice idea, the site looks good too..this has the potential to be pretty big, especially around election cycles

Are you considering having a whole extra site, (with gargantuian resources), dedicated soley to the corruption of past presidents?

we discussed banning the D.C. IP range preemptively so that if this got big, Congressional aides couldn't edit articles (as they did in 2006 on wikipedia), but we decided not to do so. No one is banned, sounds like you just suck at wikis

As I said, I like how it look..I need to get my web site making skills up, I have ideas but no design acumen lol

I'm a marketer by trade, so I can market my ideas, but cant make it look nice on a site

I'm good at design and layout, but suck at colors. That's when I solicit my wife for suggestions.

I'm just the worker mule that lugs huge amounts of stuff into place.

I've sacrificed my work productivity (didnt have much to do anyway) to work my ass off on setting up the individual pages on this project.

At this point we're ready for whoever wants to come and add material. The guidelines and backend are pretty good at this point, but of course all that can be adjusted as need arises (that's the great thing about wikis). There's very little good and pertinent information yet becuase it's been about 3 or 4 of us working on it for a week, and for the most part we've been working on the setup.

As for past presidents, that is completely acceptable for the site. It is setup such that anyone can be added no matter the era or location they're from. Local governments can be added on the state pages (cities or counties can be linked from that page and people from there if desired, or just straight from the state page).

I think it'd be interesting if people started putting foreign countries on there. The backend is setup for that potentially. It's really open as long as the guidelines are followed.

It was a joke...BUT, I use a proxy in a different state (rhymes with Plansas) most of the time anyway.
