It's looking like MU might be better than anyone predicted. We'll see next week against OU, but Illinois beating Wisconsin. That MU Illinois game keeps getting a bigger win.

Mizzou scares the shit out of me

They've got all the tools necessary to capitalize on our defensive weakpoints. Our D is a good D, in fact we've got a top 3 rushing D but shit our pass rush/secondary is not good at all

I hope we fix that shit or we're gonna have to score 50+ to beat mizzou even though its in Norman

Missouri is not that good. Nebraska is really that bad. If i were to put a ranking on Missouri i'd say they should be around 20th in the polls.

Nebraska isn't that good you're right but Mizzou has taken everything thrown at them and is doing very well. At this point they're playing like a top 10 team. The question is what will happen this week against a team that they wont be able to run against. They'll be forced to pass the ball (our secondary sucks) and that'll be the only way they have a shot.

Yes Mizzou fan, that is what it feels like to win. I know it has been some where around 30-40 years since a conference championship, and you were probably tired or at least used to the 6-5 seasons.

OU will be your reality check. I see a 45-17 game in favor of OU. Chase Daniel will be on the bench eating boogers like he was when he visited lincoln last year.

I hope to God you're right, we need to get our train back on the tracks, this barely winning/barely loosing shit is for the damn birds. I know we have the ability to dominate them but do we have the discipline/execution necessary?

They are not a great rushing team, and their offense looked amazing because they played against a flat defense. Ball State's offense looked amazing against nebraska. Hell Iowa State was on the field for 102 offensive plays, and they have the most terrible offense in the conference.

It is a defense that has been playing with no fire and a defense that does not adjust to the game as it progresses. It is a defense that fails at tackling and excels at being out of position to make a play. They are just miserable at fundamentals. They are spectacular athletes, but for whatever reason they are not playing defense. Its unorganized grab ass. If they continue to play in this manner they will lose the rest of their games this season.

Missouri is a good football team, but they are not that great. They are overrated at #11. They should be about 18-22nd roughly. Illinois is a decent team, Ole Miss..eh..they beat memphis (?) 23-21... Western Michigan? Illinois State? They have not had a real test this year yet. And yes, this Nebraska team was not a real test at this point.

Everyone is better than the Big East, that's a joke conference every single year. I hate how hyped it is... only to fall apart... again and again.

No Big 12 teams have a legit shot at the National Championship game, Nebraska looks like poo, OU is an obvious good team but had a big WTF loss, Texas isn't really good at all, Mizzou is overrated and waiting to play anyone decent to show it (no, playing a very very young Illinois team the first game of the year doesn't count)... etc. I mean, Kansas and Colorado are doing well in the conference.... if they can do well, that ain't good boys - we all know they are not good teams.

The Big 10 still has Ohio State, Illinois, Michigan, Purdue, Penn State... that are all good teams. Are there really 5 teams in the Big 12 that you can call "good" with a straight face?

SEC
Big 10
Pac 10
Big 12
ACC
WAC
MAC
Little East

If OU romps mizzou then that'll hopefully get OU back on track to whipping the piss out of people. Mizzou and Tech both have me

Sorry dude you're Big10 fanboyism is clouding your judgement.

SEC>Pac10>Big12>Big10

You flip big10 and big12, while I disagree I'd say ok, but to put either my conference or yours above the SEC and Pac10 is absurd.

where are all of these good teams in the Pac 10?

USC - good, but just laid an egg and lost to Stanford, wtf
Cal - solid team
Oregon - solid team

and.... UCLA... supposedly a good Pac10 team... just lost to Notre Fucking Dame ... they obviously suck

6-0 Arizona State has played exactly.... NOBODY ... they'll lose a couple games soon - probably 3 or 4 by season's end ... while beating nobody at all ... I mean shit, they just barely beat WASHINGTON STATE.... not a good team

Oregon State is 3-3 including getting blown out by Cincinnati... and losing to that same team that lost to Notre Dame... among other things

the rest of the teams in the conference have losing records

Does the big10 have three teams that can compete with USC, Cal and Oregon?

Sure - anyone can beat USC on the right day, they lay an egg every year. Of course nobody has the talent that they have, but they aren't incapable of losing. Booty doesn't look that great, the Buckeyes D would be hard on them.

Cal is overrated, I'd put the Buckeyes, Michigan, or Illinois against them any time.

Oregon was impressive against Michigan, but that was really more about Michigan being terrible at the time than Oregon being great. I'd rematch them any day.

The Big 10 is simply a deeper conference - Purdue and Penn State are also good teams - better than any 2nd tier teams in the Pac 10 for sure. The Pac 10 is very top heavy, and how heavy that really is can be questionable... we'll see if Cal or Oregon are really that good in the coming weeks. We know that teams like Michigan and Illinois have NFL-caliber talent... the same can't be said for Cal or Oregon other than maybe 2 players.

Deeper maybe, I'd give you that, but OSU is the only team in your conference on par with USC, Cal and Oregon.

Unfortunately execution is also part of playing football and Michigan has been terrible at executing this year. They're talented I agree but they dont have the whole package...maybe by years end that will change.

Illinois? No, sorry bro, they're not at the level of OSU, Michigan, Cal, Oregon or USC. They're executing very well which as I said is a big part of the package but they lost to Mizzou a team in the big12...

Basically I equate Michigan to being on par with Texas right now. They've got a good team but are not executing.
