It was definitely the rookies. Hopefully ortiz and manny come alive in the WS like they did up to game 5. They were ineffective in 6 and 7.

At one point it was 3-2 and the tribe was seriously threatening to either tie or pull ahead. In fact, if it were not for the coaching mistake stopping Lofton at 3rd, cleveland WOULD have tied the game.Then in the 8th Okajima was left in and got 2 men on base with zero outs. They had to ask Paps to come in and get 6 outs, something he has NEVER done before. It wasn't blown open until the bottom of the 8th.

Or lofton would have been thrown out at home. Some said they should have taken the chance and sent him because they were down. It looked to me like manny had a very good shot at getting him if he went.

yep, that wasn't the best move, but still it wouldn't have been a good move to bring in beckett, either.

Manny had no shot at getting Lofton at home. They showed the replays a few times. Lofton was rounding third and Manny wasn't anywhere near the ball yet. They even talked to manny after the game and asked him about it, Manny wasn't even thinking about throwing to home he was just going to throw to the cutoff man.

I didn't watch the post game stuff. Of course I'll believe what he said, but from what I saw manny had a good shot at getting him at home. The announcers were also saying they probably should have sent him because they were down but it wasn't a given that he would have made it.

Hmm, the game just didn't seem that close.

But by the seventh inning of Game 7, it was anybody's series. In fact, it was far too close for comfort for the Red Sox. Clinging to a 3-2 lead with one out in the seventh and Kenny Lofton standing on second, Franklin Gutierrez struck a 1-2 pitch from Hideki Okajima down the third-base line and just fair, hitting a camera well and taking a strange bounce. It appeared Lofton could have scored, but he was held by third-base coach Joel Skinner, leaving the Fenway crowd shocked in a happy sort of way.

I wouldn't ask for it, but if someone pointed out I was shorting myself on some money and I took their advice and got more than double then I'd give them a share of the "above and beyond." I mean, if I listed something for $600 and got over $1200 then I'd probably give them a few bucks for pointing it out. It'd be the fair thing to do...so I could sleep at night.

But that's me.......no pressure.

i was feeling bad, and even ballz is saying i should have kept my promise, but COME ON. i'm helping my mom here. even if karma comes back to me (which i'm sure it will now) it will still be worth it cause i'm helping my mom out.

it's up to $650 a ticket now. oh my god.

Like I said, no pressure and I don't expect a thing. You give all of that $1300+ to your mom even though if you hadn't listened to me you'd be giving her $800. Sleep well tonight...

No.

There's a difference...you should have done your homework before listing them, but at the same time if you really had no idea then it's acceptable (IMO) to accept more offers.

whatever each said he'd pay, tell him you'll sell for $25 less/ticket
have person 1 meet at 5:30pm at location A
person 2 meet at 5:45pm at location B (very close to A)
person 3 meet at 6pm at location C (could even be back at location A)

sell to the first one who shows...you could even line up 5 or 6 buyers just to make sure they sell

someone's meeting me downstairs from my building at noon to buy them for $950. i don't want to deal with this back and forth shit again. people are trying to get them for $200-500 together now, and all the high rollers have disappeared, so I'm taking the $950. it's still $800 or so more than I paid for them. and that's still a nice chunk of change for mom.

and a good chunk of change over what you were willing to accept for them before it was pointed out you could get a bunch more
