| I wouldn't want to live in Atlanta after driving through there several times. Talk about fucking maniacs.. Dallas is nice, there's so much to do there. I miss it sometimes, but living here kicks ass. Not too big, not a ton of traffic (except when the furniture show comes around..), close to the beach, close to the mountains, tons of places to go for outdoor stuff like camping or kayaking or whatever, etc Plus, we sometimes get hurricanes. Which are fun if you don't live too close to the shore. | ||||

| I drove through there at like 4am on the way back from Dallas and it wasn't so bad.. but in the morning, at like, 6? 7? There were crazy mofakas on the road going like 120 and shit. Some guy in a truck nearly sideswiped me 2 years ago and had one of those "How's my driving?" stickers on his truck. Needless to say, I let him (or whoever his boss was) know that it wasn't very fucking good. BTW, I want some wooden blinds like that. wtf | ||||

| **UPDATE** We looked at two places this evening. One was in a high rise on the 8th floor... REALLY swanky. Great view, incredible amenities, good lookin' place. But, besides the $1800/mo price tag, it just wasn't our style. We're not yuppies and if we lived somewhere like that, we'd have to make sure there was good "flavor" in the surrounding area. The other place we looked at was just a little bit north of Midtown. Nice enough area, double gated community (the exterior gate is to keep the street riff-raff out of the apartment complex, the second is to keep the apartment riff-raff out of the condo complex)... it was down a half-flight of stairs, which means the front of the place is half under the ground. We were pretty skeptical at this point. But then when we went inside; it was awesome. It was big, had 2 nice sized bedrooms plus a good size sunroom (which can easily be used as an office). The kitchen was a good size with all new appliances, comes with a washer and dryer, has a HUGE master bath with 2 closets, the back looks out into woods, the colors of the rooms are great (very much the taste of my fiance and I). And all that for only $1150/mo. When we left, me fiance turned around to me and said "I want it!" I start filling out paperwork tomorrow | ||||
