| Reminds me of Man of the Year. I don't really find Colbert all that funny for some reason. He's too much of a showman. I like Stewart a lot better because you can tell it's his real personality and he's comfortable. Colbert always looks stiff like he's trying too hard. | ||||

| That's the part he's playing. He's character is supposed to be the neo-con sack rider. That's what makes him funny. I find him just as funny as Stewart but for completely different reasons. Stewart is more honest and even self-deprecating. That's funny too, but Colbert is funny in how absurd his character is, and yet it's pretty much exactly like a lot of neo-con pundits and politicians. Both shows are smart and hilarious. | ||||

![]() Whenever I hear douchebags like O'Reilly on the radio, I am constantly amazed by their sheer arrogance and ego. For instance, O'Reilly basically single-handedly took credit for NBC's ratings drop.

Stewart I like a lot. He's funny, I can sit through him and have a few laughs at the expense of the GOP. He's clever and has a good sense of humor. Colbert, I just find kinda stupid. I don't know why, I think it's the false personality he tries so hard to put off and it comes off as very stiff. And I don't think Air America puts people to sleep. I don't think people are bored by it so much as they're turned off by it. It's just waaay too far left and repeats the same tired claims over and over again. The content rarely came off as fresh or interesting. And most of the positions they took didn't seem to be set up as a debate. Like when I listen to a popular radio station in NJ.. 101.5, the hosts will take a side of the issue, they're typically two hosts. They may or may not agree and they take calls on the other side of the issue and debate their points. Air America was like a bashing session. It wasn't debate. Callers called in to see who could be more witty or angry as they vented their hate towards Bush and the GOP. Their screeners seemed to screen out normal people (if any still listened) and only air the radicals with anger management issues. When I was forced to listen to Air America on car rides it didn't put you to sleep at all. It wasn't something I wanted to listen to and I'd rather listen to, I'd probably prefer listening to a puppy being tortured, but it wasn't tiring. It was just obnoxious and annoying. It was like watching the opening show of American Idol where everyone makes an ass of themselves and you just feel stupid watching it. That American Idol show at least had a comedic value which made it tolerable or even fun to watch for much of America. AA just made you feel stupid for listening with no benefit unless you had an unquenchable need to listen to Bush bashing.

| Why does every Colbert thread turn into "he's not funny"? Who gives a fuck? People have different tastes. Just because YOU don't think he is funny isn't really relevant to this thread. | ||||

| Did anyone catch him on Meet the Press? I don't know if it was serious or not, but he's going to try to get at least 1 delegate from South Carolina, so that during the Democratic convention, they have to say stuff about "casts one vote for native son Stephen Colbert" | ||||

| He really has to be careful as to how far he takes this joke. His show would be in violation of campaign laws. | ||||
