Ron Paul is an Idiot!

I am watching the Republican Debate live on the Evil FOX News as I post.

Topic?

Healthcare.

And Ron Paul says that healthcare is the only area where technology makes it more expensive. That after ranting about the corporations for several minutes.

No Duh?

We are not talking about sending a better rocket to the moon you moron. We are talking about an ever evolving technology that can solve more and more medical proplems each day. And this buffoon just figured out it cost money to do that and the "evil" corportions want a return on their investment? Why do you think we Americans create so many of the new drugs and medical technology?

I say we bring back the medicine of WWI and I think it will be so much cheaper!

Ron Paul is an idiot because he states what many people already know? I'm not sure what you're trying to say. I don't think he's anti-caplitalist.

Contrary, of the republicans I would consider Ron Paul one of the most intelligent and the most in line with conservative principles. The most admirable trait is that his record backs him up nearly 100%. He is the only conservative running for president. Though i disagree with him on many issues, he is the only republican running worth voting for. Period.

Not at all.

We have the best healthcare in the world because of what we invest in technology and new drugs. It costs a great deal of money often at considerable risk. Look how long and how hard it is to get anything through the FDA? But it nothing more than Corporate Greed to Paul. He is very clear with his message. And I know it plays well with some people.

That and all the thinly veiled "Internationalist" Neocon conspiracy crap about Foreign Policy and Trade.

After his internet trolls jammed the online poll they asked the live audience who would vote for him. He held his steady 0%!

What is Fred doing?

The only thing I can think is "slow and steady" and make Rudy hold his lead?

Ron Paul has introduced bills to keep the FDA in check and if president he would work to majorly gimp them to lower the cost of healthcare. I think those principles trump your incorrect assessment of his stance.

I think Ron Paul is smart, but I must admit, the libertarian circle jerk for him does annoy me...

The one dumb thing he does support is abolishing just about every Bureaucratic office (IRS etc). Bureaucracies are a necessary evil to carry out the duties of the President, it needs reform yes and some do indeed need to be eliminated. But wholesale dumping would cause more problems than it would solve, not to mention shock our system that is built upon it.

Which ones would YOU dump if president? So many people can say exactly what you just said, but refuse to give specific examples.

Regardless, he's said he wouldn't suddenly abandon anything that would cause backlash and/or hurt people. It'd be a slow withdrawl. Sudden abandonment of all the programs he wants to slash isn't wanted by anyone, but getting rid of them is.

Don't try the shift it to me, he wants to dump them ALL - that is plain DUMB. And since when has Ron Paul been afraid of backlash?

But anyhow it's a futile discussion, there is NO WAY he will even make it out of the primaries. There are about 7 other candidates that are worth more of a discussion - Hillary, Obama, Huckabee, Mitt, Rudy, Edwards, McCain, at least them.

"Corporate greed".....

Paul is the most pro-capitalist candidate on the stage. In fact, you won't find a more capitalist member in the entire Congress. He's almost an anarcho-capitalist, for christs sake.

He's also an adamant free-trader....and yet you think he's some sort of anti-capitalist protectionist based on your post.

And, it wasn't an online poll, idiot, it was a PHONE poll. One phone, one vote. And Paul won by a large margin

Fuck biased "scientific" polls and fuck biased "scientific" focus groups.

cliffs: fuck Frank Luntz.

Our society thrived on very low bureaucratic offices for 200 years. I honestly don't understand the fetish people have with them now.

Ron Paul is right on at this moment, and the fact that he did win by a large margin on a phone poll says that there are a lot more people out there that are constitutionalist and within the ages of 21-45 !1///

On healthcare he use to be a doctor and understands how insurance companies, taxes, and corrupt huge pharm companies operate in pushing drugs to people that they do not need it! ...So far he is the closest bet to empowering the individual and limiting government!

Seriously, just in addition to this discussion, which do YOU think need to be cut? I ask because there was a recent poll that discovered that although some huge portion of those polled thought that gov't programs needed to be cut or at least cut back (something in the 80's percent), only a handfull proffered suggestions on exactly what to cut.

Anyhow, RP has been one of the only congressmen in the past 20 years who has been legitimately worried about backlash, from far more than just his would-be federal solutions. During every president he's served during, he has said many times that we shouldn't be doing something because of backlash.
