They are population averages and there are averages over fields. Fields can cover a multitude of jobs. Still have seen no evidence of two people with the same exact job with a white man making more than black man.

I haven't talked about women in this entire thread. I'm speaking of racial differences.


And if there is a difference, WHY is there a difference? It can't be because of bias or discrimination or by the "evil white man" because Asians make more than whites!

I know a lot of folks in the area. Jena is a racial hotbed. Lots of racist blacks, lots of racist whites. Because of this, it is a fertile ground for media exploitation. The Jena 6 story is maddening. The lesson that it teaches is that black people have the right to assault white people. That is not right.

There is plenty of real racism in Jena... high level stuff. But nobody is talking about that. They choose to focus on an inflammatory situation that even moderate whites feel threatened. They outrage of the moderate whites is against the media and activists who descended upon them to justify an unjustifiable act.

If the media and activists cared to, they could highlight the prominent KKK figures in the area. Then even the local whites would condemn the hatred of blacks. They choose an issue that really does galvanize on racial lines... the MEDIA is pitting whites against blacks and filming the whole spectacle.

they are more often channeled down to lower paying jobs, not called back, not offered jobs, blah blah blah.

this part makes me sick.

Further discoveries were made when testers introduced evidence of a previous felony conviction. Although positive responses for whites declined significantly, they still managed to remain higher than those of black applicants with no presentation of felony conviction. White felon applicants received a 13% positive response rate, Latinos with no criminal record received a 14% positive response rate, and blacks with no criminal record a 10% positive response rate...

So with same/same resume and experience, toss a felony conviction on a white guy and he's STILL got a better shot at getting a job than a black guy with the experience.

But you stick to your "they make the same as whites" story. It's going well.

Not population averages, not "fields", but actual comparison of job salaries between races.

The whole incident was a loser drama. The only thing missing was a famous line in Romeo and Juliet:

"All are Punished!"
