| Yeah, I was unaware of any substantial portion of Americans who *hate* America. I am aware of people who are critical of America's policy choices (a lot of us are in this category), and often these people are accused of hating America by neo-conservatives, but that doesn't make it true.

| I'm not "demonizing" him, I don't think he's subhuman or evil, just a complete douchebag who shouldn't be given a large audience to spread his douchebaggery to. What he said is typical of the radical right wing pundits (like Hannity, Coulter, Limbaugh) who thrive on trying to divide the country whenever they possibly can, no matter how ridiculous and pathetic it is to inject that sort of divisiveness into a discussion about a subject. The rationale for his comment is: liberal people live in California, liberal people disagree with him/you on an issue important to him/you, you/him love America, therefore they must hate America, because people who disagree on issues certainly can't both love the country they live in! It's the same idiotic bullshit we've been hearing for years from the right wing. I'm personally sick of it.. and I'm even more sick of this being the standard for successful media personalities in the country. As far as the Limbaugh issue, once again, it's called a disagreement. You aren't right because you feel I'm wrong, and vice versa. | ||||

Rejoice!" The idea that he did is a load of crap. Instead, he used the reasoning that the right wing has used for years to come to their definition of "hating America," which I addressed in my last post.

You might do better asking me a question before you come to your Originally Posted by Joe_Cool Where did I say that? Oh wait, I didn't.

What that means is that you're not (interested in) debating, you're (interested in) preaching.
