He asked no questions. He made statements. Kerry tried to respond to those statements and the kid cut him off with something like "You have been talking for 2 hours. Let me talk now!" He wasn't part of the Q or the A.

You're commenting on shit without having done any more than watch a video edited by Meyer and you're shitting on me for having more information about it? And somehow I'm the asshole?? You sound like those kids that beats up smart kids for being smarter.

Apparently you have all the information
I can read and watch videos.

Maybe the fact that investigations and the recommendations can be bogus
Uh, maybe there are more videos and witness statements? I'm not going by just what the cops said.

Here I will lay it out for you.....
Here I will lay it out for you. You already said you don't know what you're talking about. Witness statements show Meyer was a disruption BEFORE the video starts. There's even a video that start about 20 seconds before *his* video and it shows him being a dick to the cop, disrupting kerry's answer to another questioner, and generally looking to make a scene.

Now continue your condescending manner of responding.
I'm trying to figure out how you not knowing dick about something but forming an opinion anyway makes me condescending.

The line formed pointing away from the stage. When they announced the end of Q&A he pushed ("rushed") his way to the mic. That's why the cops were standing right next to him in the video, because of the attention he drew to himself and because the cops didn't know why he was moving toward the mic (which also meant he was moving toward the stage).

Jesus, it isn't just about him

The point has been from the beginning that the investigations are biased and little is done in the aftermath of these type of investigations. It occurs all over the country.

"Doing what the police say" doesn't help out because they shit over your rights as a citizen and a human being, then when they "investigate" they find they did nothing wrong. It happens ALL the time and it keeps happening here in Virginia to law abiding citizens with no recourse AT ALL for the victims of police ignorance and brutality.

The cops were just standing there while he talked. He didn't make a move towards the stage right before they grabbed him. That's what i'm talking about.

Gosh, you could have actually posted that link on the first page instead of your "i know everything" diatribes and gotten somewhere useful

In THIS case. After reading a lot of accounts and seeing multiple videos, I agree with the investigation that the police were correct in their actions to tase the guy.

It seems they got it right this time. Whew!

And I personally think they went overboard with their reaction. Was the kid a dick? Yes. Was him getting tased hilarious? Of course. Do I still think it was an overreaction? Yes.

The witnesses say the cops were standing there ONLY BECAUSE of his actions before the video starts.

The moderator announced "Q&A is wrapping up" and this guy started pushing ("rushing") toward the mic (which also meant toward the stage) and that's what got the cops on him. They were not standing there UNTIL he did that.

I don't. Once he started to resist the safest thing for the officers to do to get him out without getting hurt (the officers, not him) was to taze him. It worked. No one got hurt except the person responsible for the situation.

Maybe hog tying him and gagging him would have been more to your liking? I think it's a little physical myself, and puts the officers in a situation where they might get hurt. But it is an option I guess.

just over 2 minutes

With how he was acting it was not an overreaction. Cops have a duty to not get injured and to avoid injuring him.....with the way he was fighting, tasing him was the best way to make sure nobody was injured.

It would be safer for the cop who pulls you over to give you a shock before looking into your car too. Doesn't mean they should do it.

Your comment is stupid. Have I resisted arrest in any way? Have I already created a situation where I am disrupting an event? If he tried to pull me over and I ran, yeah, he should taze me through the window once he got to me.

Maybe you should post something smarter in a different thread.
