I would still say they are on the high end of the middle. They know how to draft and they have a good system in place, but they still buy their team as much as anyone else in the NFL.

Yep.

There is no comparing how and what the yankees did to win their championships to how and what the patriots did/are doing to win theirs.

The yankees are paying more than double what most other teams are paying. The patriots are paying in the 50% percentile for their team. If you want to argue this from the perspective of league dominance, ok, but there is no discussion about *HOW* they got that way.
