Daily Kos raises over $150,000 in one summer week for Net Roots Candidates

MyDD :: Direct Democracy for People-Powered Politics

A simple pre-labor day summer week started off as a goal to get 1,000 contributions, they got 7x that in a drive that was called out of nowhere, pushed only by DailyKos (and the networked sites of MyDD and SSP) and isn't even the main funding drive of the year.

That's a lot of cash for one august week, over the summer they've raised well more than half a million, and ActBlue (netroots fundraising page) has raised almost 2 million dollars all for their supported candidates

I don't know. I just didn't really like what he was saying (obviously), nor even how he was saying it.

I mean, I can listen to Maher, whom I like but disagree alot on, but Kos just didn't impress me at all.

Markos was explaining the Blogs to Maher who obviously didn't understand...thats all he had time for...

To get a better picture of Markos, watch his appearance on the Tim Russert show, it's got to be somewhere, when he gets into his ideology and beliefs, its really good stuff

was there anything in particular you thought you didn't like...so much so that you had to call him a fag?

Pretty cool stuff

I love how blogs and the internet are enabling people to contribute and be interested and involved in politics like never before.. it's really amazing to see the transformation, and I guess with this place we're all some small part of it.

I also saw him on Real Time and thought the segment was too short. I'd like to see him as a panelist on Maher's show. I think he'd do great there.. he's fairly eloquent.
