| For towels I saw a much better mechanical design actually. A small length of towel sticks out. You grab that and pull it. The device will automatically cut off the towel at a certain length and leave a small amount hanging out for the next person. nothing to break or run out of batteries, and no touching the same thing that the last guy touched. The automated shit is just more complex ( and expensive) than it needs to be. Don't want to touch the flulsher? How about a foot pedal? a foot pedal attached to a traditional valve solves all problems of germ transfer with none of the mechanical problems related to fully automated systems. | ||||

| So you think that a device with a battery , a motion sensor, an electric motor and who knows what else... will be less apt to fail than a much simpler mechanical device? You are confused. If nothing else they will run out of batteries where a mechanical device never will. Batteries are not environmentally friendly, they produce waste and are an added cost. Then there is the additional cost of fixing these things when they do malfunction, and they do. all of them. | ||||

| try having severe diareaha on top of some God forsaken frozen moutain top in negative temperatures with your ass hanging out in front of three climbing parties with guys and girls in close proximity since it is a sheer drop off on all sides of you. That is exactly what has happened to me. No one could escape it as we were all roped together, sure they could turn their head but they could still smell it and hear it. In the end who cares....... it is a natural function of the body and no reason to be so uptight about body functions. | ||||

| the first time i ever saw an automated toilet was in Munich Germany in 97. after i flushed it, a little door opened up above the seat and a little do-hickey brush came out and the toilet seat lifted up and started rotating. I thought I broke the damned thing....... then when i realized what it was, i was enthralled and must have flushed it like 2 or 3 more times before I left the stall. my friend outside was like, what took you so long??? she laughed when I told her...

The bathrooms here are brand new and there are permanent maintenance staff on hand that service the bathroom every day. You're just way off base here. Besides, the mere fact that you think they need constant maintenance just another reason why they are inferior. | ||||

| It is the most common occurence for all women during delivery. The same pushing you do to take a shit is the same pushing you do to deliver a baby. If you do have a bowel movement that is good as it means you are doing it right. I forget the actual statistic but it is over 90% of women have bowel movements during delivery. You will also have an average of at least 5 people in the room at that time but it will be the least of your worries. | ||||
