YouTube Video ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed. Man, I hope this picks up. This would be a fantastic way to start RP's media coverage extravaganza...

| okay, i've said this before and i'll say it again. i think we need to get a side by side comparison of the candidates stances on the issues. i really don't know anything about ron paul and I'd like to see where he stands on certain issues compared to others running, left and right alike.... and i'm lazy, so someone do it for me.

| lol, lazy ass ![]() The bad thing about making a side-by-side comparison is how far do you go back on some of these guys? That's no worry for RP because he's been consistent since he got into politics 30 years ago, but if you look at Guiliani, he was pretty liberal not 10 years ago. Hilary was WAY liberal not too long ago. It's difficult to build those things. If you just want to see a list of current issues for RP, go to Ron Paul 2008 — Hope for America and there's a drop down at the top. | ||||

On the other hand, he doesn't want the federal government to make a law legalizing OR banning abortions. Paul doesn't want to allow "gay marriage", but Paul doesn't want to make any federal law or Constitutional amendment defining marriage in ANY WAY, gay or not, saying it's a private and religious issue. I agree on both of those stances he has. I think Roe v Wade is legislation from the bench, and I think the fed has no business in my spirituality at all for the sake of social engineering.

| How much attention should he get with his standing in "real" polls? How does he compare with Mike Gravel or Kucinich? That would be more fare than to compare him to Rudy or McCain in the media.

| Personally I think fund raising prowess speaks pretty loudly. If their reasoning before now is because of his low poll numbers, then fine, I'll forgive, but from here on out there's no ignoring the public's willingness to throw in some money. 37k people donating money in a single day is pretty good when it wasn't promoted or requested by the official campaign. | ||||
