Bill Maher making fun of republicans

people often wonder why air america is so hard to listen to, and what's so bad about it. well, here is a prime example of what it consists of. nothing but ranting and making fun of republicans. it contains absolutely no substance, nothing of worth. i don't care how funny or witty someone is, people get tired of hearing them make fun of people after a very short period of time. it's also interesting to me to see how he and others can just rant on national television about republicans and christians like this, and it be completely ok. the republicans (with the exception of bloggers) haven't really said anything, nor do they care. if however a republican said something like this against democrats (and i don't see them stooping this low) the dems would be all over them 'condemning them' and 'calling for apologies'. stuff like this is just pathetic.

You have to take him for what he is. A comedian with an agenda. He wouldn't admit that the polio vaccine was a good thing on his show because he hates drug companies so much!

What does Maher have to do with Air America? Air America tanked and he has a successful show on HBO where he can say whatever he wants.

Like Style said, he's a comedian. I think things he says are less extreme than what you will hear from Coulter, Savage and Rush. Those people are pundits and can get away with it. Why are you so hard on a comedian for doing it? Oh yeah, because he's a libaeral.

all i've said is that rants like bill's are what make people tired of air america. i'm not suggesting that bill is connected at all. i'm not suggesting that all bill does it rant. but rants like these are done in poor taste and certainly uncalled for. the fact that he can do it on national television like this and nobody call him out on it is beyond me.

eh, that was a middle school joke. hardly worth even giving attention to. probably perhaps it was just his overall seething hatred towards republicans or people with faith of any kind. he seemed to be just plain angry about them. even when king suggested they have 'belief' he refused to accept that. it was just childish IMO.

i hardly find his points valid, and i think i'm more bothered by a general acceptance of such a tyrade by you et al.

I think that is part of a problem we have. I dont agree with Sean Hannity but i watch his show at least 3 times a week to see the other side of things. I watch Bill Orly because of that too. I think the only thing i agree with Sean Hannity on is immigration.

Same thing with people who resort to terrorist activities. I like to figure out why they are doing that. I want to see their perspective and when i see their perspective and say "well ok i understand" it makes me a sympathizer. That is really not the case at all, but figuring out their motives could be a major step in fixing the problem.

Bill Maher is not a news reporter, He is a comic. I don't agree with his views and do not think he is funny. There is nothing wrong with seeing all sides of an issue. I just don't think of him as a credible source of info.

I like to understand all POV's. I would rather hang out with an informed person who i disagree with than with a person who is just a bandwagon jumper.
