President Bush assassinated in new TV docudrama

This is the dramatic moment when President George Bush is gunned down by a sniper after a public address at a hotel, in a gripping new docudrama soon to be aired on TV.

Set around October 2007, President Bush is assassinated as he leaves the Sheraton Hotel in Chicago.

why would someone do such a thing?

I am a staunch supporter for free speech, so I think everyone has a right to make whatever they want. That being said, this docudrama looks both interesting and, possibly, in bad taste.

Looks like it will be interesting to watch

. I don't think it's in poor taste. Heads of state are inherently targets for death. It might not happen but your chances of getting assassinated go up when you're that public of a public figure. It'd be like starting a movie with a chronic smoker dying from lung cancer. The way the guy in the article talked about it, however, I get the feeling it'll be like a film-school movie done by angry post-teens.

It's in bad taste because it shows a current head of state being killed.

It's completely different when movies show fake presidents dying.

I think it extremely poor taste to show a sitting president getting assassinated. Regardless how you spin it, it is still sending a message that people want Bush to be killed because they do not agree with his policy. Although people do this all the time. I guess i am more offended because I support bush.

I feel it is bad taste but observe their right to do so.

i agree, even if it is under the guise of an educational documentary on 'what would happen if...'

I can see it now. A couple Holywood writers sitting around drinking a beer. One of them says; "You know, I wish Bush would just get friggen shot already." Another goes; "Yeah, that would be nice. I hate that fucker." Then the other says "So, how would you go about doing it?"

They talk about how they would do it. What would happen if this and that etc. After a while they decide that "Hey, this would make a great movie! We can make it like a docudrama! And you know if it has something to do with Bush being killed any studio would pay a LOT for it! Let's do it!!!"

And the rest is history.

The saying goes something like "The right to do a thing does not make one right in doing it." I need to find out who said it and get the exact quote.

I would be just as offended if they did it to clinton while he was in office (or even since) or bush v1 or reagan or carter........ respect for the office not matter who is in the chair.

I only care about a sitting president. If they wanted to show a "what if" world of clinton, reagan, or whomever being killed, I could care less.

I just think it's in bad taste to show an assassination of a sitting president.

I can't believe you guys are getting all pussy hurt over fiction. I think it's a great start for a plot...I've often wondered what would happen if Bush were assassinated. Hell, it's not even that far fetched...it almost happened in Ukraine when someone threw a grenade at him that turned out to be a dud. I loved Tom Clancy's book where a terrorist attack wiped out half our government in one swoop...not because I hate the government, but because huge, bad events like that make for good plots.
